how come when we (and Freo) lose on the road, it's because we can't win away from Subi, but yet when teams lose in Perth, and then the following week, it's because of the tough road trip...... obviously it isn't as tough when flying east to west ...

anyone else see the contradiction?

No you are right there has been research that proves that it is 3 (yes three) times harder to go west to east than east to west.

It is to do with the bodies circadian clock which naturally gains about 1 hour every day.

It is generally quicker to fly from Melbourne to Perth, than it is to fly to Perth to Melbourne.
