Convert MPG4 to wmv/avi?

Hi im trying to convert a mpg4 file to a wmv type file so i can put it on a dvd.

anyone got any ideas, Only want free ideas, im not paying for some converter.

So i can put it on dvd, thats the only file type i know how to put on dvd.

any other suggestions mate?

use ConvertXtoDVD and convert your original file to play on a DVD

Work in TV post production. We use MPEG Streamclip for most of our general video converting, even though it's freeware. Fantastic little program.

For DVD authoring, http://www.dvdstyler.org/en/ gets a pretty good rap. Pretty sure it handles MP4 files without the need to convert first.

Having some trouble with this one. Am just getting the "this file cannot be extracted" message. Am using a mac if that makes a difference...tried to open it with my default app The Unarchiver.

Should I maybe be looking for a mac-specific conversion program?

I dont have a mac...but this one worked fine for me, try some of the others people mentioned.
