If you had to pick between cooling or heating systems (aircon/heater) at home what would you pick?

Personally I'd pick heating. Ive always been a summer person and can cope with the heat fine & I love being warm over the winter months. I guess living in Melbourne it does get colder then most other cities across Australia.

Im interested to hear your opinions.

I'd choose the cooling. In winter you can always wear heaps of layers to keep warm, but in summer you can only take off so many pieces of clothes before you're, well, naked and still dying from the heat.

Aircon for sure. Never really needed a heater since I've been in Melbourne.

Definitely cooling. Rarely use our heater during winter, but then again we only use the a/c once the house thermostat hits 35C to reduce the temp to around 28C.

Indeed aircon, clothing can be put on to add heat, you can only take so much off to get cool though.

Had air-con put in just before xmas, wow, what a huge difference on hot days...

We already had ducted heat, but the cooling was a must for us...

....but for a choice of the two.......air-conditioning

I dont have either,very few places in Australia you can do that in.
