Agreed on both of the above points, but I would (and have) picked Priddis in DT. Cooney's touches tend to actually do something
I just traded out Chad Fletcher because he hasnt done much and i think his price will drop. So i had to bring in a blue chip midfielder.. It came down to either Priddis or Cooney. I took Priddis. He is a little bit cheaper, gets plenty of tackles, scored 90 in a badly beaten team on the weekend.
Cooney is a star, but is always heavily tagged. WHen the Bulldogs play Geelong he will get Ling, when the Bulldogs play North he will get Rawlings, and so on..

Tough one for sure...I'm still tossing up between the two mentioned and M. Murphy, who is obviously cheaper still.
Cooney: Pros...uses it well. Doesn't need big touches to get big SC scores.
Would have av'd more last year but for 2 games under 20!
Only 7 games under 90 last year, in a year supposedly without a pre-season.
Last game had 5 FA's but still topped 100.
Cons: Those 2 games under 20 were v. Geelong and Sydney, who the Dogs play 3 times...
Priddis: 13 games under 90 last season...but no real shockers.
Av's over 5 tackles a game...but has had 14 so far in 2. (10 v. Brisbane!)
Murphy: Well down the pecking order for taggers.
Good disposal.
Av'd nearly 3 tackles per game last year...
...but 9 from 2 games so far...also a goal in each game...
$55k cheaper than Cooney!...Both in high possession teams.
