As far as i know he is training with the team. I think he was up on the Central Coast with the rest of the Swans last week going to schools and hospitals aswell as doing coaching clinics (which does seem odd considering he has never played a game of Aussie Rules in his life).

I dont expect to see Cooney play AFL in 2009 but i could see him playing in 2010 if everything goes well.
