Cooney- I went to school with Cooney....and know that he doesnt mind going interstate....but i know for a fact he finds Fremantle as a team of the furture and would mind going there!

I don't think we'd be able to get a pick early enough to get him.
If we're going to trade Croad though we should try and make a deal which would let us snare Moody.

Cooney will most likely be a top three pick this year and to be honest, I would be reluctant to trade a player of the calibre to snare us a top three pick.

I agree though, we should trade Croad if we can get a pick low enough to draft Moody.

Are you suggesting we'll finish BELOW the E-Girls at the end of the year??

Besides, the Bulldogs may draft Kepler Bradley from West Perth with one of their picks and Moody may well end up being a top five pick. They are probably the best two young uns to come from WA.

One of my best mates brothers was pulled aside by Cooney & he wanted to know all about freo. The guys is a Freo freak , He loves his surf , but cant surf for Ship , He asked all about the Freo nitelife , South tce strip , everything ................ HE WANTS FREO !!!!!!!!!!!

Well we gotta keep things into perspective ;)

Moody is massively over-rated. Cant play with physical pressure applied on him.

Take Cooney in an instance, the guy oozes class.

I watched the WA/SA U18 game and the players who had been initially rated highly such as Cooney (SA) and Kepler Bradley (WA) were impressive.

Cooney impressed with his foot skills on both sides, decision making and ability overhead. At this stage he would be the #1 pick for sure and should be able to slot straight into the lineup of the club he is drafted by (assuming it is a struggling club).

Kepler Bradley interchanged between the ruck and in a key position for WA and had the fitness and mobility of a midfielder. He seemed pretty strong overhead and very quick for a big man as well. His delivery into the forward line could be a little better but I'd say he'll be a definite top five pick and a likely top three pick. Due to his medium sized frame, he would be too raw to hold down the ruck or a key position for a senior side straight away but would be a long term prospect and would need to put on some more weight over his first few seasons.

Others who impressed were Josh Willoughby from SA who should be a top ten pick and Moody from WA. Moody was basically playing as WA's number one forward and it would have been nice to see him up the ground a little but he oozed class & poise and played well to kick four goals straight.

Another player from WA who isn't mentioned often but impressed me is Daniel Chidlow (#1). He is only small (175cm) but is extremely tough and courageous. He doesn't mind getting in and under the packs to win the footy and he is good overhead as well. He looks quick and has a classy disposal. Because of his size, I doubt whether he'd go as a first rounder but it would definitely be worth drafting him with our second or third round pick, I reckon.

Looking forward to watching Vic Metro and Vic Country during the week.
