I'd like to agree with you mate, but Thurston had a great game.

Maybe when Lockyer retires, Thurston will move to his preferred Five-Eighth slot with Coops to play Half-Back!

Cooper Cronk will never be a regular in Origin footy. When Lockyer retires and if they do move Thurston, Tim Smith will waltz into the Half Back spot.

Haven't the storm won 8-9 straight orwhatever ? haven't Nth QLD lost 7 out of the last 8 ? somethin glike that right ? Didn't all those losses start with a loss to Melbourne down here @ Olympic Park ?

Sorry how is the relevant to the this original topic??? Thurston is by far the better player, just the rest are struggling. On the Other Hand, Storm are flying, but are making cronk look passable due to everyone elses good form!

Not a chance. Smithy is way more affective when he is allowed to be versatile around dummy half. The way he plays for Queensland these days is hampering his style ...

Thurston has been injured for a good chunk of the season.

Thurston has it over Cronk now, and is also the incumbent test half, so he will have to be knocked off his spot. That said, if Cronk keeps up his form from last year, then he will certainly give it a good shake.
