If Port have a brain, they'll be after this guy.

What do you reckon Geelong would realistically want for him? Or would he be completely untradeable?

He's about as tradable as Primus. Fair swap? ;)

In all seriousness, Geelong would be total tools to let him go.
what's wrong with Steven King and Peter Street?

Street is gumby and hopeless, no strength.
Didn't say there was anything wrong with King either.

Hypothetically, if it happened I would play Primus or King as a key CHF.

Corey Enright has become an important member of Geelong's young team and I doubt he'd even want to leave such a happy environment which exists at Geelong at the moment.

Go Cats!!

Money and return to Port Adelaide would be two reasons.

I'm not saying they're strong ones, but if the likes of Pavlich are up for trade, might as well see about players that Port could actually do with....if he's in your top 5 required players though, i guess its not going to happen. Who else is in them?

Top 5 most valuable players, for the future IMHO:

1. Steven King
2. Matthew Scarlett
3. Corey Enright
4. Tom Harley
5. Ben Graham

I wouldn't think Geelong would even entertain sending Corey back to Port unless: a) Port gave us a deal involving quality key forwards or b) Corey wanted to go home.

As Jubs said, Daniel Foster is hanging around, Port could do with some young key position backmen (Tom Harley would have fitted in nicely at Port ;) ) and i'm sure Geelong would be willing to do a deal.

Actually, we have a surplus of tall backmen that can't break into the side at the minute.....its the midfield thats getting pretty old.

Ah well, thanks for your time :D

I meant GOOD tall backmen ;)

Do you consider Toby Thurstans one of those "tall backmen"?

Ah, wait a sec :D

We've got David Spriggs for you, although i'm sure there would be a teenage girl led revolt if we shopped Spriggs.

We are was too stacked for midfield talent, someone has to go

Right now as tall backmen we have....

Darren Mead, Stephen Paxman, Darryl Wakelin, Matthew Bishop, Scott Bassett, Toby Thurstans and Adam Morgan.

Yeah, I do.

Nah, we need someone that'll go for the hard ball :D

Mead, Paxman and Wakelin will probably be retired within 2-3 years (Wakelin may be able to play longer).

Personally i think Bishop is more a flanker.

Will Bassett ever make it? He's going on 24, i'd have thought he would be on his last chance.

Never seen Morgan.

Saw lots of Thurstans in his younger days, looked a ready made player 4 years ago but still struggles to get a game for Port.

Are you confident that Morgan, Bassett and Thurstans will be able to take over from Lead, Paxman and Wakelin?

I don't know how Port work, but not many players would be still on AFL lists in Melbourne if they'd gone 3 years without playing senior football.

Mead and Paxman maybe this year.

He could be. Despite his excellent form this year, I'd still picture being our third tall.

He's had poor luck with injuries at bad times, and with cementing a spot when the likes of Mead and Paxman win best and fairests (and with Wakelin looking a chance to do so this year).

Never seen Morgan.
He's played the last two weeks....still needs a bit of work. Having to play at North Adelaide has probably limited his development to now.

Yeah, he's been in great form for Sturt all year, but what coach messes with a settled defence when you're on top of the ladder?

Are you confident that Morgan, Bassett and Thurstans will be able to take over from Lead, Paxman and Wakelin?
Thats three years away at least...who could say? But at this stage, Bassett and Thurstans I reckon can do the job.

True. I think David Wirrpunda was in this category though....not to mention players that don't get picked up until they're 22 or so in the first place.

I have to say, I'm definitely liking the look of Geelongs midfield a lot more these days.....Enright probably would be a bad idea to trade away.

I doubt Enright would want to 'return to port adelaide'. If my memory is correct he didn't even live there & had to fly from wherever it was he lived, was it somewhere on the Eyre Penninsula?

But having said that Primus would be a fair swap. Knees might be a bit dodgy though ;)

Not much different to a player from Wangaratta wanting to `return' to Melbourne, is it? He's from Kimba, as it happens. Port's country zone.
