Corey has been offered more money than the Kangaroos can offer him by 7 different Melbourne teams.

This info is very spot on too don't worry bout that.

This will be a big test to Corey and how much he loves the club.

Personally I think he will stay but money is a big driving force in todays footy.

If he does go to a Melbourne based club... they will have to trade for him... and he wont go cheap...

So if you know it is Seven why don't you name them??? or do we take it is all except Essendon and Richmond who both have cap problems... if you believe the papers...

Talking of salary cap problems....what about Carlton?Camporeale on $500k per year Kouta on $1m and Lance Fatnall on $500.That $2m a year for three players. The rest is being divvied up between the othet 39 players? What are Ratten, Silvagni, Bradley on ? Me thinks an investigation should be on the cards here.

Whoah!

Back the truck up!

The guy took a self-imposed pay-cut in 2000 and this year forked out $8500 for a Vice-Presidents vote - as well as buying a standard message.

Come on, it's not COREY'S loyalty that's in question here.

The most likely case here is that Camporeale may have signed a 3 year contract for say $1.5m (avg out @ $500kpa). However, it most likely that he could be paid $200k in 1st year, $800k in the 2nd and $500k in the 3rd. Kouta and Whitnall may not have the bulk of their contracts paid out in the same year as Campos. In addition by the time the 3rd year comes around players will retire and the salary cap increases each year as well..

It will be a test of loyalty. I think there are probably a couple of non Vic clubs interested too. It's difficult for Corey as I'm sure he'd prefer to stay but this next contract should be his "superannuation" and a player of his standing would expect around 400k per year for 3 years but I don't think that North feel he is worth that amount any more (not that they couldn't pay it!). It will cost a lot for another club to get him and expect one of those complicated 4 way deals with players and picks going "everywhere" if it comes to a trade. I think Corey has invested quite wisely and money may not be the biggest issue in his life so he may be willing to accept a lesser base contract with plenty of incentive and performance based clauses built in,which may allow him to make upwards of 300-400k.

At least they have gotton rid of the pre season draft rule which inflated salaries.

I would be very very surpsrised if Cory left North. Very surprised. But not as surprised as maybe after last year.

I hope he stays.

I am presently doing something I have never done before.....praying...very hard.....that one of the offers is to his liking and that he pisses off.

and what have the pies got that we would want???

Tarrant (I can't play under figjam any more)
Didak (I have never been able to play under figjam)
and their first draft pick (I don't want to play under figjam)

how does that sound???
