COVID only gets you when you sit idly. If you were to contest a ball up 10m away on the field you'd be safe though.

Smartest virus of all time. It knows if youre dancing, standing, sitting etc at the right times. Not to mention the amount of other diseases and ailments its cured...

Premier Mark McGowan today said the decision not to have 45,000 people at Optus Stadium was made with the safety of West Australians in mind.

But i'm sure everything else is still open am i right.

"We have to clampdown on COVID-19 so we can return to normal business more quickly, so, based on the additional information that has now come to light, we have made the decision to not permit spectators to attend the derby this afternoon," he said

But you haven't locked down you doofus, so business is open.

"The game will still go on and of course people can watch it from their own homes ... the decision to have no crowd at the stadium also helps us in preventing possible transmission on public transport.

But the people will most likely pack into pubs to watch the game possibly using PT to get there as to leave the car at home, gee i wish i was as smart as these clowns

Anyone else getting a bit sick and tired of this ' keeping people safe ' bullshit used to justify political decisions.

Emperor McGowan on the throne is here to save us all from the evil Covid19 and its zuppa doopa deadly variants! Hail the emperor! Western Australians will be licking his feet and feeding him grapes soon for the privilege of saving their lives!

The support from the people of W.A over these restrictions is bloody sad what the bloody hell has happen over in the wild west? How can anyone support this clown? You vote in a tyrant a tyrant you shall get!

While the rest of Australia was scrambling around last year, everyone loved his hard border, meaning we opened up and went to normal a lot quicker than most (lol). So he was seen as some saviour.

Though his latest episode has really pissed people off (finally). I'd love to tell people that all this goes much deeper than McGowan but they might as well aim their anger at him for the time being.

Some people have been so overcome with fear that they are beyond help, i have a read around the traps and some loonies are losing their minds over people not getting jabbed. These are people who think governments actually care about them and don't realise that the people making these over the top stupid mandates NEVER have to abide by them, the QLD quarantine farce is testament to that, any dropkick who owns up to being in a hotspot deserves to be out of pocket 3-4K IMO.

My folks are heading over to WA on a road trip to get away and to visit people they haven't seen in 25 years and i told them just pay in cash if you venture into Perth and if a hotspot pops up just say on your return you were never there.

They don't have a smartphone, they have no need for it so just have a phone that does the basic stuff ie: calls, txts and that's about it. Must run in the family because that's how i roll as well. They will have a laptop so they can stay up to date with the news but they have it all thought out, they are not concerned about snap lockdowns as they will be staying mostly away from the city regions as who they are visiting and what they want to see are out in the country areas.
