Im beginning to think that as a man in my 30s I’ll never live to see our borders opened up again. I’d expect our borders to open up again in the late 2070s based on the current standards. Seychelles is proof that we will never have a 0 case scenario so suggest we can never achieve our impossible goal without keeping these standards in place
Unless you are a movie star athlete famous etc they are here a while. Insane thing is when inconsistencies are questioned you have this insane shit parroted that we need to be kept safe. From what?
Take the footy yesterday went to leave and was blocked from crossing the barrier. I said it's ok I'm leaving (there were 2 mins left) no you can't cross the zone for safety reasons.
90 seconds later I walked the same path outside crushed by thousands of others who attended.
Scomo says international borders shut indefinitely. We are zero chance of international travel before 2023.

Young people losing alot of experiences and time they will never get back to ensure 86 year old, aged care home resident Dorothy sees her 87th birthday
Yep the young have been sacrificed and even denied a chance. Time is something you don't get back.
What kind of society supports this? Whichever groups organisations have designed this are completely selfish.

It's devastating for young people, even if they don't quite realise yet. I've been very lucky to travel overseas fairly regularly, I think between 2007 and 2019 there was only one year I wasn't overseas at some point. Had a ball, blew lots of money but wouldn't change it. Started a family before the world went mad in 2020, so haven't been impacted by travel bans. In fact, in a way I've been kind of lucky because I don't think a new dad has ever spent as much time at home in the first year ever. But as this stretches into year 2, and likely beyond, we have to ask these questions; what are people missing out on? I cannot take seriously old people criticizing those who are against lockdown. Like, imagine you're 20 again and you're not allowed to leave the house, or go to the footy, or catch up with mates, or try and pick up girls at the pub or sneak over to Thailand for a week? Would you like it? Especially with no end in sight?

Agree. Have done some travel and were the highlights of my life some trips. Was giving an outlet for life.
But forget travel there is so much else people are missing. Even a chance to build careers relationships etc.
One thing I have learnt is time is one thing you don't get back. I seriously question the path we are heading down and where this ends.
Like you say no end in sight. I don't believe you can lock people up 23 hours a day pull random lockdowns destroy livlihoods without it having some major effects. To spite the cheerleaders

Oh I couldn't agree more. Overseas travel is a luxury many can only dream of. There are so many other things that we miss during lockdown and even though we aren't technically locked down now, we will be at some point over winter. The list is endless really. Completely unquantifiable, but undeniable

It’s not just us though. Which countries are welcoming (unvaccinated) visitors without restrictions or quarantine requirements and why would you want to go there?

Id go anywhere id usually want to go on holiday tomorrow if they had no restrictions personally. If you're scared of corona to the point youre willing to give you life up, your life wasnt worth living

Fantasy stuff

No chance a politician will get Covid

I mean, it makes sense to have the certification standardized. The vaccine would show up on our Health Sevices card - like everything else.
But what they want to do with it is the problem. No travel? Not allowed in shops like Israel? No gyms? No school?

Then there's the interview with WEF's Schwab in 2015 saying in the next 10 years we'll have an implant under the skin to record this information just in case we forget or don't have a card.

Except your Heath services card wasnt touted as your permit to freedom and to participate in life.

Society is being flipped on its head, you’re now considered sick until proven healthy.
And after 15 mths of fear propaganda
the battle of the vaccinated vs the unvaccinated is well underway and being pushed from on high.
May as well call it The clean vs the unclean.
The safe vs the threat.
The good v bad.
Bc that is what is becoming. Where have we seen this before?

Doesn’t matter, when people are scared they will cheer on all sorts of measures against any perceived threat, even healthy innocent people.

Interesting times ahead.

Cant even figure out the doseage requirements yet want to talk about a certificate for taking said undefined dosage amount

What does that say about the situation?

"Something is up!" Even Queensland gets discussed with its ban with threat of fines and prison, on Drs prescribing HCQ, when the available evidence at that time showed a positive effect.

"Groupthink and fear have taken over the world and drive an immoral, unethical, and even illegal, deficiency in access to early treatment for COVID."

Where have we seen it before? When a certain race were called unclean and the population told they had diseases?

Goebbels playbook?

When asked by American psychologist G.M. Gilbert, who collected the testimonies of Nazi leaders in the book Nuremberg Trials, how he got the German people to go along with the attacks.

“Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship,” Goering reportedly told Gilbert in his cell on the evening of April 18, 1946.

Gilbert replied: “There is one difference ... In a democracy the people have some say in the matter through their elected representatives, and in the United States only Congress can declare war.”

To which Goering said: “Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.”

Has anyone ever sat back and wondered why every new virus is borne from China? and more importantly does anyone have the courage to ask why?
When you eat road kill and other meat that is not meant for human consumption, don't be surprised when we end with Covid and other viruses. Covid was waiting to happen after the Bird flu pandemics that his China & Asia. India on China's door step has 400K new cases per day, it is only a matter of time before it gets back into China and spreads again.
