Very cool and showed a lot of poise in the white heat of the second half. Cory McGrath is doin' enough to earn his keep. I seriously doubt whether Longy can get back in, considering the amount of footy he's missed due to his "2 weeker". Anyone agree/disagree with this?

where's wally?

i dont think Longy's worth to this team can be underestimated
he doesnt have to do a lot but the team lifts around him
he is a great club leader and one im sure everyone who has met him holds in high respect
i guess we could almost guarantee that long along with wallis, if fit will play finals football

that being said, corey mcgrath was sensational yesterday and handled himself like a 200 game player, his composure was very rare for someone who has played a handful of games

i think the toughest job in australia would have to be an essendon football club selector

Cory McGrath moves like a Rolls Royce among a clattering of wonky shopping trollies. He is very cool under pressure, has those Longy like evasions skills and moves, and looks to be at the start of a very fine career for us.

I am sure that both him and Longy will line up for us before the finals. There is room for both of them in the team, easily.

So who would be dropped from last week's team to make way for Longy if he were fit to play against Port? That's easy. Out Bolton, In Long. And while we're at it, let's drop Henneman because Wellman is due back and someone will have to make way for him. May as well be Henneman who is overdue for a game in the seconds anyway.

If that were to happen...i would feel devastated for Henneman! He has played every game so far this year :(

I wouldn't. He was pathetic last week and borderline the last few weeks. He really needs to get his **** together.

I understand. Remember i am a Dean Wallis supporter and Henneman has Wallis' spot in the side! I just think it would be a hard call on the kid to drop him after he has played every game. I know that we haven't had a wealth of tall defenders this season, so Henneman had to be picked.

Henneman will get better...but he has to get his hours up in the gym. He is way to lean to hold a key position and get outbustled far too often. Henneman's weaknesses were highlighted in the first quarter on Sunday against Sav.

I'm a wallis fan as well. But, Henneman will be dropped sooner or later.
