the lad has been cited on video for charging nick holland. it dosent look good for the lad.in the air at the point of contact.

I noted he was charged with rough play,what is the usual penalty for such an incident fine or suspension ?

Umpires usually use 'Engaging in Rough Play' when they have little chance of making a 'charge' stick. I actually cannot recall the incident, so cannot pronounce my judgement on it! 
Ty Zantuck was actually cited under the same charge for colliding with Blake Caracella in Round 2. He rightly got off that charge as it was no more that a hip-and-shoulder.
As another point of comparison, Michael Long was also charged with this in the 2000 Grand Final for his hit on Snake Simmonds. He was rightly rubbed out as his only intention was to collide with Simmonds head, an action that is capable of causing serious injury.
TOO, whether or not he is in the air at the time is actually irrelevant. Was Holland involved in a marking contest, ruck contest or outside of general play when the incident occurred?
I would say that the answer to each of those is no, as these instances would all constitute a charge.

in general play.im not sure if he had the ball at the point of contact or not. couhlan came in head on and while holland still bent over hit him off the ground slightly but enuff.didnt look good

It's like a broken record but these kids are what we are lacking, but it doesn't seem to stick into the coaching staffs head.

Flea gave him a pretty good rap on club corner the other night ,so even if he gets a week i think that he will be given every opputunity to maintain he's spot provided he can improve on his couple of chances so far.
I also heard that Pettifer was travelling up to some function tonight with spud ,i wonder if he will put the pleads on danny for a spot in the senior's this week given his form last week?
He will probably get a fine or let off

We know Mills is a tough nut...the police have charged him with 'rough play' too.
We need these guys. Give the opposition something to think about. And they have skills to boot.
Furthermore Fiora and Rodan run through lines and use the ball well. Pettifer and Krakeour have skills.
Let the lads play.
