Mate, thats backtobacktobackness and hey we did share the love, the super B's were going for 4 in a row but decided to share, and the 17s let someone else win after going 2 in a row. Just a shame we couldn't take out 1's, 2's and 17s 3 years in a row. As for the Cabbage, well, its not called choking when you lose to superior sides:p Ahhh, drunken posts, gotta love em'.

HAHA. Your a devils man.

Gotta have a larf though dont ya. Lose 25 games in a row, set up a chip tent at the Scouts Jubalee, make a solid 40k. Buy a whole new A grade side. 3 Premierships.

Haha, and you think other sides havn't tried to buy premierships as well? Hahndorf with Ormond-Allen, Lobethal with Sudjai Cook haha and many others I'm sure. The funny thing is we lost our best player and numerous other quality ones before this season and still dominated.

Ormond-Allen was on $100 a game by the time he left. Didnt even make the top 3 in the B&F. He did ruck though, haha.

You lost your best player but you still had tonnes of players in reserve. You would be paying atleast half your team. They even offered my brother money to play for them.

Its balls as well, because the league is now bringing in a points system so no other club can do it anymore. Which means lofty have the flag penciled in for the next few years till their money runs out or their players die of old age.

They are not the only ones.

Look at Torrens Valley in the Country comp, the money they are splurging is ridiculous.

Apparently thats because their coach is loaded. Bought a whole heap of players.

I remember a few years back Meadows bought a team also, and everyone was telling them to go up to Div 1. Now they are shit house. Same thing with happen to T/V. As it is now happening to Kangarilla.

Kangarilla have not paid many of their players, everyone thinks and assume they have but I can tell you this is not the case. There are a few players who are on a bit of coin but in comparision to other clubs and players it is not that much.

This is a myth that annoys me, Kangarilla is a team of mainly locals. They will continue to be a force, this year was just an off one.

Gary Hughes is loaded, he is a lofe member at Lobethal but he has gone to TV to buy his own team. Blokes like Sitters, Slattery, Jacques and especially Carter is on huge amount of dollars, stoked to see it didnt pay off this year.

Not certain, not really involved with the club much anymore, but he will hopefully be back this year.

However, we lost a couple of other quality, goal kicking players, but yeah, our depth seemed to grow even more, with some quality players struggling to get games in the B-grade, let along some blokes who've made the association side over the years playing mainly B-grade.

Can't really comment too much on what we're paying players really though, just know that these days, to be a successful club in any amatuer league, you've got to be paying for at least a couple of players, otherwise you'll just lack the class to compete with the top sides in your comp.

You lost your goal kicker to Athlestone, but then he came back half way through the year because he was struggling down in the Amatuer league. Trigger did his knee when training with the Westies.

Thats the thing though, clubs have to buy their premierships these days. Its happened almost every year. Uradila '05, Devils 06-08.

But alot of clubs cant even afford to pay one player, let alone 10. I can tell you Hahndorf almost went completely broke in 2002, after we paid almost every player in our 2001 premiership team.

He actually coached my mob Gumeracha for a few years (from Under 14s to A grade) after he left Lobey in a huge stink. We got rid of him because despite the fact he had a bit of money he isnt a coaches...... well yeah. Since he left us his business profits have increased an unbelievable amount and now he can afford to pay the Carters, Jeremy Jaques' and James Sitters' of the world and STILL not win. Sadly he left us in a bit of a bad way from which we have never recovered, and Ive got my doubts whether we ever will......

The only team of true locals is Kersbrook really. They pay VERY few of their players but have the pull of Brett and Roger to get guys up there. It was good to see them get up this year, even moreso their B grade over your "almighty" mob. May be an outsiders perspective but Kangy, in particular Stringer, are too big for their boots.

Hughes showed during the GF that he cant coach. Leaving Carter at fullback when the game needed to be won? Blokes who went to the huddle to listen to him and watched him during the match were baffled at how little he did. Its clear all he does is get the players and they then try and do the job. Not the way country footy should be.

Not sure what happened with the Kangy B's, should of shit it in, complacency must of got to them. This year may of been the kick up the arse Kangarilla needed, things may of been too easy thus far in the Hills league. I dont think its a case of being too big for their boots.

Kersbrook may have alot of locals and I respect them but it would be much easier to get a side like that when you have 2 ex AFL players in your side. Will be interesting to see if Roger gets the North gig.

We lost 2 of our best goal kickers to Athleston I believe, 1 came back for other reasons than he was struggling afak, also I believe Trigger did his knee in last years GF. We also lost our CHF elsewhere. But hey, didn't hurt us too much.
