Anyone here work(ed) as a courier?
I'm budgeting to buy a panel van in May, and am thinking about taking over one of the delivery runs for the company I work for.
The bulk stuff would still be sent via Star Track, which is who we use at the moment for all country deliveries. Our overnight security guard who lives in Geelong, has a stationwagon and takes all the small parcels with him when he finishes his security shift at 7am, and delivers them after 8am.
I'm thinking of putting in an offer similar to that, to do a localised area between say 8am-12 noon, then head to my normal job which starts at 2pm and finishes at 10.30.
Does this allsound like too much work, and how hard a job is courier work exactly? Any answers would be appreciated.
