Not sure which one of these should be regarded as the cover.

Mark Capanni wrote it but released his version a year after the Jackson Sisters. The full version of the Jackson Sisters changes the lyrics (or adds to it) by including a verse about prayer to Jesus bringing the miracle, although you don't hear that in the filmclip.

I was recently introduced to the amazing voice of Henning May so I’ve been scouring YouTube consuming any English language stuff I can find…which is basically all covers.
This one features Natalie Findlay with May in more of a supporting role.
It’s a cover of Valerie by the Zutons although the Amy Winehouse version made it famous.

Quite a good version of Television's "Little Johnny Jewel" by Chrome Cranks.

(The 2nd half of the video "Vice Squad Dick" is apparently another cover but I don't recognise the names of songwriting credits - Uranus, Cloner, Chlorax, Alligator, Boulevard, although with a little googling I found the audio of it on the homepage of Dick Uranus - gross comedy lyrics in a Reno 911! sort of way - originally recorded in 1979)

Goodbye or good riddance to the "Motivatin' Man" John Laws.

Should have employed the studio fade out on the band much earlier on this one.

Hadn't heard this before but it's part of the extras on the 50th anniversary reissue of Patti Smith's "Horses".

Cover of Smokey Robinson's "The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game". The biggest hit version at Motown would have been by The Marvelettes - which they recorded in their later mostly non-hit period in the 2nd half of the 1960's; and there's the Smokey Robinson & The Miracles version which came out around 1971 on the "One Dozen Roses" LP which is typically flawless. I know there's also a another more obscure Motown version by Blinky with a quite different funkier arrangement. Ella Fiztgerald and Jerry Garcia did covers of it as well.

Mid-1990's indie cover of John Cale's "Half Past France", originally on his "Paris 1919" album released in 1973.

Contrary to the way the cowgirl album cover looks this is a much less countrified/folk/americana roots genre record than Timms's other solo albums, and features a range of guest musicians from bands including Mekons, Big Black and Slint.
