Anyone else deeply disappointed by this?

It was hyped up as Neil connecting with the fans, but instead some miniscule comment is posted up every now and then, then it is left to the fans to write stuff in response, with no further input from Neil.

Now I don't really think that's a blog, and it ends up being less informative than his Q&A gig last year.

Definitely an example of 'don't believe the hype' in my eyes.

Back on topic .....

I think it was unrealistic to expect Craig to regularly post replies/updates on the blog. He's got plenty else on his plate at the moment.

In hindsight, perhaps the AFC bit off a bit more than it could chew when committing to this project.
 
If you dont expect much you dont get disappointed much. What did you expect from a 'blog' Just Maybe?

Plenty of other coaches manage it -- it wouldn't take that much of Craig's time and he managed more than that last year.

Part of a coach's job description is communicating with fans.
 
Admittedly, I haven't paid much attention to other clubs. Which ones have a coach's blog at the moment?

Personally, I think it's a fairly futile exercise anyway. You could just about write the answers to most of the questions before they were even asked. A coach is hardly going to provide a true insight into the club on a public internet forum.

PS I don't have a problem with Craig's PR efforts. He often makes an effort to recognise the fans in press conferences and the like.

you are being picky in my view. Craig has done as much as any coach we have had to communicate with the supporters. I just dont think you can expect an awful lot from a blog to begin with.

Terry Wallace is a show pony anyone can see that. However, if you are a member and you are not happy its your right to ask to see what more they can do on thee issue. Write a email or letter to Trigg or Craigy telling them what you want to make the club a better communicator. They might listen.

Just checked out the Richmond website. There's nothing special on there that I could see. The only blog is one for fans, with no comments from officials, it seems.

June 7th 2006

6am woke up tapped Mrs Craig on the shoulder said' how about it baby' copped slap across face.

6:15am hit shower, decide to make a shampoo mohawk with my hair looks good, will consult hair dresser to see if I can make it a perment look.

6:30am Dress and have brekky, eat 18 weetbix cause Im and 'Aussie Kid'

7am Drive to AAMI Stadium and prepare for morning training

10am training begins run through 'keepings off' drills, boys did good at 'keepings off' so well Bassett wouldnt give the ball back and was last seen bolting through West Lakes Mall, hope he brings it back or maybe he is smuggling balls down to our poorer cousins at Alberton, will need to investigate this.

1pm Return home eat 5 vegemite sandwiches gotta keep me pure Aussie

1:30pm Wife is randy spend the rest of the day in bed:p

I think it would be better if he posed a question to fans say...once a month. Something more to do with the club than whether or not a night gf is a good idea.
