A Release Date

The picture is currently scheduled for a November 23, 2022, theatrical debut.

What I am most fascinated about is Creed's next oppionent Mr T's son?

I pity the fool.

Of course, fans are incredibly curious about who the Kang the Conqueror actor will actually be playing in the movie. On the one hand, he could be a fresh face with no prior ties to anyone from the Rocky or Creed franchises. Then again, he could also be a legacy character who connects to a familiar foe. Could he be the son of someone like Mr. T’s Clubber Lang from Rocky III? It’s not impossible, especially since the franchise’s star once said that he’d even be open to the idea.

Lost count of how many times I've seen the first Creed, it is brilliant. Ryan Coogler is something else, Fruitville Station, Creed, Black Panther. Amazing first trio of films and I feel Creed 2 suffered by not having having him back (given his commitments to Black Panther post production at the time).

Big fan of Michael B Jordan, this is his directorial debut I believe. Whilst I have faith, am also questioning if this film can deliver without both Cooger and Stallone, who were both pivotal in making Creed as good as it was.

I never knew a single thing about the first movie, I remember seeing a trailer titled Creed one day. and lost it.

Even the title didnt trigger anything for me, as it has been a while since I saw a Rocky movie too.

So you can imagine my surprise and amazement, when I saw Rocky turn up in it about a minute into it. Ive loved this franchise.

In relation to Crreed III, Ive got a strong feeling that Creed's opponent will be Mr T's son. Its the only way to connect the movie to the Rocky franchise especially more so given there is basically "no one" left (Mrs Creed is in this movie) that ties the movies together. Otherwise its just any random stand alone boxing movie and while that can be good, it can also be bad for the most important aspect of any movie and that is box office success.

Wouldnt surprise me if Pretty Ricky returns as well.

There is usually two fights per movie, this would be the first one.

I also think Rocky will appear, be it in a cameo or inspiration during his fight, not sure if they will use old footage or a new one though. It will obviously be very brief but I think this will definitely happen. Mickey who was Rocky's trainer did appear in Rocky V, although he died in Rocky III.

Florian Munteanu returns for Creed III.

I suspect he will end up coaching Adonis Creed, much like how Apollo coached Rocky in Rocky III.

Yes that was interesting, I only just read that he's returning in this as well. Usually there's at least 2 key bouts during a film like this. Perhaps another Creed v Drago fight? And then Creed v Jonathan Majors' character, not sure. Perhaps you're right with the Creed and Drago union, that would come full circle.

I was always in but now im IN!

Glad they didnt go the route of Clubber's son as his next opponent.

Looks like it has all the ingredients of good "Rocky" movie.

Im curious at 1.43 who is this fighter?

EDIT. I think its Pretty Ricky. He does return apparently.

That's a good trailer, glad its not the rumoured route of Clubber Lang's son. Looks very personal and Jonathan Majors is an excellent addition to the cast. I'm in.

The interview at the start is for Creed Conlan 2 and there is a Creed Conlan 2 poster on a wall, so I'd say it is.

MBJ is a good actor and cool to see him in the director's chair but man is he gonna look like a flyweight acting against Majors.

I think that was the idea with the casting as well. Rocky III style.

Mr T was a unit compared to Rocky in Rocky III.

Having watched the trailer again, got a strong feeling that Major's character is basically like Tom Hardy's character in Warrior.

His look, his anger and the complex "brother" dynamics at play here too.

While I think Drago's son Viktor may train Adonis, I wonder if they may go down the path of where Major's character kills Viktor in a fight, history repeating itself? Maybe Viktor and Adonis were friends? I guess where I am going with this, is how does Major who has been in jail for a while, end up with a shot at the title, so quickly after release for 18 years?

Obviously there must be a big reason as to why Adonis steps back into the ring to fight a new comer?

In Creed II, I cant recall if it was the end of the movie or deleted scenes, but it shows Viktor and Adonis at peace with one another. I wonder if from there they end up becoming friends over the years?

Saw the Creed III trailer again, I thought maybe Drago's son may have been coaching Creed, but that doesnt look likely to be the case as you can clearly see his old coach coaching him, so maybe he is coaching Majors?

Unless of course there is two fights vs Majors, like Rocky III, in which Rocky fought Clubber Lang twice.

A Siberian training montage would be epic with Creed and Drago and his son. Again would be like Rocky IV, with also the contrasting impact of Rocky III when Rocky trained in the "ghetto" with Apollo.

It remains to be seen whether Drago will make an appearance in the upcoming film, but fans can look forward to a complex, magnetic new antagonist named Anderson Dame, played by Jonathan Majors. If the "Rocky" stars align, maybe Drago will join him for a Siberian training montage.

Yes instead they seem to be copying the Tommy Gunn story.
