Hows everyone's club shaping up for this year?

Coldy have picked up a few. Will be big improvers but not sure about their depth?

Seville have kept the same side (including ishy) and have picked up Aumann who played juinors down there. Very handy keeper batsmen. Still hearing whispers about Chaminda Vaas but surely wont happen?

Interested to hear whats going on elsewhere... Popularity of cricket in the valley has seemed to have declined over the last few years, wouldn't have hurt to throw in a few 20/20s or a new over format.

No coin getting spent this year. Becoming quiet the bitter old man fingy. Couldn't bring Junction to the promise land, Where have you landed this year? Back playing 2's for Mt Ev?

Told you Im a Wombat this year. Harry finally got the deal done.

Perfect. Look forward to having you around the club. Anyway back to proper talk. Aumann will be a very good pickup for Seville. Does anyone know if he will take the gloves? Or will Timmy still be keeping?

Brendan Hyndman back to Woori.
Chris Falls coaching YJ:eek: Nathan Falls to Healesville
Appleby Stark have left Silvan. Stuart Thompson to Silvan
Coldstream have Daniel Adams coach Stark and Pig back
Warby Bumble to coach Coughlan back Cam and Scott Darwall back and Butch Woods
Wandin new coach

You would think so. Timmy is fairly handy with the gloves but i think Aumann is as good as they come at local level. Hopefully he has a good year with the bat.

Heres my take on upcoming season

Seville - Jonny Aumann returns and is the best keeper in the valley by far and with no departures will be the ones to beat again.
Wandin- Folded - East Ringwood and Woori going hard for Simon Young, Troy Murphy possibly to Wantirna Sth and Junction want Jacko but he is still undecided
Coldstream- Sprouta, Jonny Pig, Starky, Johnson and Reece all return and with those players they will improve dramatically. Gilbee may also make a few cameos aswell
Healsville - Picked up Ex EastRingwood coach from a few years back, he is a keeper batsmen who will be in the top couple of bats in comp. Nathan Fall is a handy pick up i heard another irishman is coming over and in my opinion they will be the big improvers this year.
Silvan - Lost Starky and Appelby arguebly there 2 best cricketers- will struggle to match last year's performance.
Warburton- I heard Bumbles and Micky Walker wont play and possibly Cam Darwell, still think they will be very strong. Could be a grand final replay from last year
MtEvelyn - Brad Jones to return to play with brothers, I heard Gibbo is hanging up the boots but still i expect will be top 4
Yarra Junction - No Flutter or Nathan Fall will make it tough, will rely heavily on Pup with bat and ball. Will be the youngest team by far in A Grade
Hoddles Creek - pretty much the same team as last year though i suspect will improve and can beat anyone on there day.
Woori Yallock- Haven't heard much about Woori except that there really struggling with numbers will continue to slide down ladder i reckon

Bumble is coaching Warby, Young to Woori who along with Hymy junior will make Woori 2nd favourite.

Silvan lost stark $$$$ , apps, semken $$$$$ but picked up a gun from Nth Croydon, Thomo from junction & maybe a couple more from the RDCA. Also looking for improvement form there young players, they will still go alright. It's going to be a very close year methinks.

Silvan would need 7 A grade players as after Apps and Stark they struggled. LOL at the $$$ next to Stark as the only reason he went to Silvan was a massive $$$ agreement.

Apps made 200 runs for the year, 140 of them in 1 game, Stark 22 wickets for the year, 12 of them vs coldstream. Starky came to the club because he needed a change and enjoyed his time with us. i wish him all the best this year.

Of course you do the $$$ signs show that.:o Guess you won the battle to sign Thommo what's he on?

We know what he was getting hard to believe and know what he wanted. He knows people everywhere that's why he didn't get it.:thumbsu:

Anyway finger you didn't have much to say about the stats i put up, they don't lie and thomo has been fantastic all pre- season looking for a big year from him.

Well you've lost your best three cricketers and havnt got much in so let's see. You refused to play Seville last year and couldn't get near WM so your a fair way off.

Good post.

Young will be a good pickup, i expect he will just chase the cash. Surprised a few of the young wandin blokes aren't linked with seville, plenty of $$$ and they would have mates down there. Aumann was their old coach as well.

Shame that wandin has folded, the comp seems to be getting smaller every year...

Played Wandin In a Praccy match, they were disgusting. Still very sad to see them fold, doesnt take much to see sides go from choclates to boiled lollies, for the record about thommo, i dont think his on field performance is what you have to worry about at silvan...

Hopefully the YVCA will pick up the standard again and that this is only a lull.

I heard that Seville refused to play Silvan at the vacant Wandin East ground......

A wise man once said "if you are kept in a cage you will act like an animal" Make of it what you will.......

So Seville have forfeited the game already have they?
