What are the best you can come up with? Or the best cricket sayings you can apply to every day life?

'To walk into an exam is like facing up to Shaun Tait downwind.'

Can't think of any better ones, but there are plenty I've heard.

keeping in the exam theme at uni, answering short answer questions is like picking up your ones and twos!

Another analogy I used to use is bat out your 50 overs in regards to staying for the entire duration of your exam, as you may pick up a few marks at the end but you cant if your not there!

LoL good thread there is so many I could go on and on.

I like asking girls who dont follow cricket if they would like to see my googly, gets a lot of laughs I can tell you !

Obvious common one, he bats for the other side!

When I running out of time for an exam, the run rate has blown out to over 6 an over ! LOL funny now, but at the time.

When I talk about girls that are hot to other guys you refer to them as Bradmanesque those that arent like Sheffield Shield players.

There are endless ones here.

One girl might be like playing some Pura Cup cricket, but there may just be the one who is akin to scoring a ton, on debut, in the WC final in front of 100,000 at the G.

I know people who will point out a girl they rate and just say 'Warne', or 'Judd', or, conversely, the biggest dud in the touring side gets a run when the situation's reversed.

Good work, I like this one.

"Batting above his average" - When a cricketer who isn't endowed with the greatest physical features manages to get a hot as girlfriend or wife eg Simon Katich IIRC.

"Bowling a wrong un" - (the opposite to batting above your average;))

There's always the classics too...

"that's a Sticky Wicket" - any troublesome or confusing situation
"let that one go through to the keeper" - when someone says something stupid or offensive

Well that was a tough days play

My comeback clean bowled him!

An hour to go, need to lift the run rate here!

"Glanced to fine leg for a single" - when changing the subject or handballing responsibility
