I don't know the finer details of it all, but I think its a bloody disgrace that Crimmins was left out of the 1975 GF after being a fantastic advocate of the Hawthorn Football Club for so long ...

Anyone know what was the actual case? ...

As a young fella i dont know a lot about the history of your club. But 1 thing i do know is who 'Crimmo' is and what a mark he left on your football club. My uncle is a lifelong hawks supporter so this is how i knew. It also sent chills down my spine... legend. I hope all your boys were told to watch this tonight, I firmly believe that something like that could inspire them to great things. RIP "The Little Fella"

I wasn't around when he was gracing the park, but I've been told that his exclusion probably cost us the flag. Not just because of his fantastic skills but because his inclusion would have lifted the team onto bigger and brighter things.

Gripping Television - am I wrong or was Crimmins implying dirty dealings by Don Scott? Not playing him was a tactical error by Kennedy - imagine how it would have pumped up the side. From the tone of voice you can tell John Kennedy regrets it

The tape that was shown on Headliners was edited slightly, as he was ticked off and had a bit more to say about Don Scott than what you heard. The family wanted it edited as they didn't want all the crap to be stirred up all over again. From what my Dad has said, Peter and Scott had not ever really gotten along and funnily enough, either has our whole family. I don't really want to go into it on the internet though.

Hopefully I will get to watch Part 2 this week.

He was. But in fairness, people will make those sorts of statments when they're upset, and then regret them later.
