Talking of GFC functions, did anyone else see the flyer for the prematch function against Adelaide where they had the venue listed as being in Perth and described as a 'short walk to AAMI stadium'?

i'm going. not sure on many details but it should be fun. I bought a signed James Kelly match jumper at an event a couple of years ago which was sweet. Wasn't forced to pay too much either as he was copping a bit of stick at the time...

Will they have anything like that tonight (jumper auctions etc.)? Or is it more about speakers etc?

Not sure how many from here went but I had a great time.. I don't think it was my alcohol consumption alone that made me think that everyone was really funny. :)

I was on a table with Max Rooke. He was a great guy. Reasonably quiet and not arrogant at all. Just a really nice guy. I was impressed with Harley and the coaches as well. Josh Hunt stayed pretty late but that might have something to do with the stunner he was sitting next to. Hunt was very good in the auction and made quite a few bids which was nice to see (i think he was the only player who did but am not sure).

Cook gave a total non-answer when asked about the rumours that he might leave, but for now i'm not reading anything into that at all...

Awesome.

It was awesome. I probably talked to him for 20-30mins. He was a very nice guy. It was fun (in a way) during the break to see how many people came up for an autograph / photo. Gives you a different perspective on what life must be like for these guys. He took it extremely well but i can imagine that it could be difficult if life was always like that.

I ended up taking quite a few photos for people just because i was on the other side of the table (slightly across) from Max.

..

I was actually going to ask him about the heavy training block they recently finished which was talked about on this site, but unfortunately most of the players took off around that time and only Hunt and Harley were left from what i could see (I was downstairs so not sure if any were left upstairs).

I'll definitely be there next year though. Well worth it.
