That's rich.

There are posts on your board throwing up Myke Cook and Tony Armstrong as trade suggestions for Jacobs and Walker.

That's as realistic as an offer of Steven Browne and Joe Anderson for Shaun McKernan and Ricky Henderson/Rory Sloane.

And Adelaide have done a stack of trades in the last six seasons.

As straight spud swaps it's ridiculous, throwing in pick shuffles makes it more realistic but it likely won't fly with ratten looking to hold onto both players.

Myke Cook to me is garbage but then other people have other ideas Armstrong slightly better often plays passibly but nothing special.
A 2nd round pick I'd value above all the players thrown up by either side.
There is no massive prize here, it's inconsistant player trades vs potential player trades adelaide really don't have a huge squad to look through and certain players being no goes and having a lot of ruck prospects still hanging around there isn't really much on the table.
The factors that are known aren't exactly exciting either side.
Maybe walker comes across gives some drive off half back, maybe he continues to be an unaccountable shanker that's in and out of the side.

Jacobs is potentially the best young ruckman in the league. He is worth a first round pick.

This is all the evidence neccessary that on the table players become overated, the number of better performed players and up and comers this rating sits him up with is just a joke.
There are a bunch of rucks around the league that are worth a first rounder, they certainly aren't a clubs reserve ruckman. There would be a great deal of the population that had no idea who Sam Jacobs was before he became trade bait.

Best young rucks in the competition

Nic Nat, Burg, Kreuz, Sauce

Let's revisit this comment in 5 years.

There are more people who know Sauce then Corey's brother...

If Cameron Wood was worth pick 14 then Sauce is worth a first round pick. People need to understand that Rucks are always going to be traded over the odds, because there just aren't that many good ones out there.

So Adelaide rate McKernan more internally than externally...cool.

Guess what, Carlton rates Jacobs high internally as well. Probably rate Jacobs above what the Crows rate McKernan seeing as though Carlton selected Jacobs in a final and McKernan has played what, 1 game?

Jacobs is potentially the best young ruckman in the league. He is worth a first round pick.

McKernen just turned 20 yrs this month. SO he was 19 yrs for our whole season. How many games did Jacobs play at 19yrs. Just because he hasnt been good enough or ready to play ahead of Tippett or Walker up forward, or in front of Davis, Bock, Rutten in defense at the age of 19 yrs doesnt mean a great deal at this stage.

Lets get one thing straight. Sellar is useless. He is not promising, we know he is no good. He can't ruck and is too slow and lacks agility for any KP spot. He should not even be raised in any trade talks. Crows will delist him within a year or 2.

Spud > Sellar

Jacobs is only 22

In terms of who you think your club will end up with should a trade be done, I wouldn't think McKernan would be in the frame. They love him at West Lakes.

You mean like we wouldn't get Lachie Henderson last year because he was contracted and rated highly at Brisbane? Yeah, we've heard it all before princess. :thumbsu:

and who did brisbane get for him again, not a fringe player thats for sure.
would love to know how walker would be rated if he wasnt a number 2 pick and didnt get 27 touches in his first match way back in 2004 i think it was.

Walker would probably be rated as the guy who made the AFL team of the week three times in four weeks this year, was BOG as a CHB until he broke his collarbone in another game (vs Geelong) and played a very good game as a medium forward in the finals. You guys seem to have forgotten the reaming he gave you in round four.

ben mcglyn also gave us a reaming in round 3 aswell mate, big deal. i think you forgot to mention he also got droped later in the year aswell. shocked how you didnt mention that. funny how when injury stops walkers good run of form you mention that, but when it happens to sellar its disregarded, and i've been as tough a judge on sellar as anyone since he got to the club

Has Sellar been injured for four years? No, but he's been shit for four years.

sellar is 21 mate, sauce is 22, where has he been for the last 5 years? has he been injured or just not getting a game
Sauce started off on the rookie list for two years, mustn't have had appropriate development back in SA because by the start of last season he was in our best 22 before quad and foot injuries ended his season. Followed last seasons promising start with an excellent year this year.
