Are us Dockers supporters getting compacent, comfortable or just run out of players to bag?.

Maybe we are just confident in what CC and Co are doing and they seemed to have removed alot of the "burrs" that us supporters used to aim at?.

Maybe instead of less than 22 players to AFL standard, we now can see 25 - 30 to this standard?.

Maybe interstate games are now seen as winnable, rather than just an exercise in gaining more frequent flyer points?.

Maybe we are just quietly confident?.

Quietly "super-excited."

It is a bit of problem as there is no one that deserves bagging. After going to the Adelaide prctise match and seeing all those young blokes play with such great skills & dicipline I feel that for once in our short history we have some genuine if inexperienced depth.

It wasn't long ago that the senior side was full of stumbles & fumbles & turnovers.

All praise to CC he has put confidence into the whole squad.

There's no-one at the moment who deserves a bagging... although i can see Clive getting his fair share if he fails to fire during season proper.

personally I see us doing similarly during the H&A as last year... maybe winning about 12-14 games and finishing 4th - 6th.

After so long of being shyte it's almost like "was that for real?" Almost a bit scared to "dare to dream".

Better to keep your head down and not make any wild predictions about a top 2 finish or stuff like that... and then revel in the success when it comes. Quietly confident that we'll have a very good season - but what's the point of talking it up at this stage of the year??

Of course if anyone asks my 7 year old, "how do you reckon the Dockers will go this year" - he looks at them with all the innocence and expectation of one so young and answers (with complete honesty) - "They're going to win the premiership". :D

My 9 year old is a bit more world wise, and says - "they better at least win their next final - especially if it's on my birthday again!"
(as the 2003 one was... she has developed an extremely passionate loathing of Essendon for raining on her parade on that particular occasion... :o ).
