As a Saint player who would have been back at Freo, but the deadline passed, will Black get any louder booing than any other Saints player, or will he get some sympathy as he could have been playing for Freo in this game?

Also given Lenny is out for this game, I wonder if Black may captain the side for this match (now that would be ironic)

He tried to get traded back to Frero this year but the paperwork didn't go through in time. I don't think booing would be appropriate

I did read an interview with Blacky that said in hindsight it was the best thing that could have happened to him, not going back to Freo (this was before the season started). He said he only really wanted to go as his partner wasn't happy in Melbourne, but now she had settled down and accepted that they were in Melbourne to stay, and it couldn't have worked out any better for him. He said the Saints were always his preferred option and that he was very happy that the paperwork didn't go through, and that he had no intention of leaving St Kilda at any time in the future.

Being a bit tricky there is old Heathy...

I would say the same thing in his position

So would I... who wouldn't. Just saying what I read. Might give some people an excuse to feel okay about it if they did boo.

rarely do i boo opposition players... but I reckon Blacky might cop a bit (though prob not a lot), just cos that's what people do at the footy. ;)

Personally I like to see our ex players succeed at their new clubs - the only exception would be Jeff White.

ahhh, the more I think about, maybe I could get a white sheet and make some sort of banner instead.

Got any slogan ideas? ;)

I pretty much agree with purplesoul. I like to see our ex players succeed, except when they are playing us, obviously. :) The exceptions are those that were so desparate to leave that they screwed the club over, and Jeff White goes in that category for me. Heath Black doesn't. But I tend to only boo players based on what they have done on the day, rather than their history.

Booing? We're not playing Essendon this week. There shall be no booing.

Although I'm sure they were saying "boo-urns"
