So in a few weeks I am off on a holiday to the USA.
Talking to a guy a work with he said that you are better off exchanging your currency in the country you are going to rather than here. (Mind you he goes to the Phillipines)
What is the opinion of you guys here. I had a play online and it appears that if I was to exchange around $7000 AUD I will be better off by nearly a $1000 if I exchange in the States rather than here.
I know you can leave the country with up to $10000 without having to declare it.
Any advice on what I should do would be appreciated.
