Meanwhile, Tassie have knocked the rabble that is South Australia over for 236. Given the Redbacks chose to bat, they'd have expected a little more.

Yeah, pretty dismal effort from SA. Cleary at #8 top scored with 58.

Downton took five. I recall him looking promising for Tassie about 4 seasons ago. I think he's been plagued by injuries since.

We're not out of this game yet though. Bellerive is not the road it used to be. So 236, which was a slight recovery from 7/148(!), could be a competitive score.

Vics led by 74 at stumps, with 4 wickets in hand.

My two "breakout" boys are at the crease, Jon Moss and Cam White.

First Cam takes 4-27 on a first day pitch at the GABBA, then makes 30 odd not out. Fair effort for anyone, let alone a 20 year old.

If the Vics can build a lead of 150 - 200 they've gotta be confident of breaking their whodoo at the ground. after all it has been 20 years since a win there.

In the last team Merv Hughes and Dean Jones were new to the side and Tony Dodemaide was a youngster.

That explains it, he's not really Victorian. I guess the rest of them will drag him down to their level soon enough.
