There's so many where do you start. :D

1991 against brisbane at carrara, i was there by the way in a pocket he was dragged back by gastev nearly over the line and he dribbled the ball off the side of his boot through for a goal, he kicked 13 that night and that one was not spectacular but just very smart.

My top 3:

3) V's Geelong at Waverly Park - off the ground from the boundary line in the wet with a heavy ball.

2) V's Richmond at Victoria Park - drop punt from the boundary line being tackled front-on by Terry Keays, 35m out.

1) V's WCE at Waverly Park - the gem of a goal; checkside along the ground bouncing on the goal line from the boundary, after handballs from Pants and Rowdy.

Agreed there, that is the best or one of the best Daicos goals!

Daylight to second. The ball was nearly out of bounds 2-3 times along the HFF but due to sheer strength and brilliance Millane and Brown were able to keep a dead ball alive. Even then, Daicos was under intense pressure and stuck on the boundary. And it was in a crucial final, in the last quarter, against the best backline in the game at the time (apart from ours!!) doesn't get any better than that.

How mental did the crowd go when it sailed over the line, I have been to a few big english premier league matched over the years but I have never seen a crowd reaction or noise like that goal, i still get goose bumps when I think about it today.

I've worn out the 'Daicos Hot Shots' tape on that goal... :(

I was there, in the AFL Members, right behind where Millane gathered the ball. From my angle, Daicos was directly in my line of sight to the goals so I saw the ball sail through off the boot. I was standing with a mate at the top of the aisles, he spent the day cursing Chris Lewis, at one stage he yelled "somebody kill the black c.....", funny at teh time but probably not PC these days!!!!

It was one of those moment's where time stood still....

"Great bump by Darren Millane in come's Brown Collingwood lifting Brown right on the boundary line back to Millane likewise Daicos nearly runs out of room HIS GOALED! " :D

Best goal ever.

Without doubt,Daics best goal was the one against west coast at Waverley in the final.Kicked the checkside spinning away from goal hemmed against the boundary, out of this world!Great call MACDAICOS,spot on!

those goals were good at the time but in this day and age of football they arent anything great. players kick the sorts of goals daicos was famous for a lot more often these days.

What an absolute pile of ******** that statement is.
I've never seen a bloke slot a goal with a banana kick from the wrong pocket on the full since Daicos did it against West Coast in 90.
Daicos reckons the best goal he ever kicked was the 81 PF against Geelong where in a tight game he took a mark played on by all handballing over Ian Nankervis' head caught the ball , kept running and slotted it , to put the pies infront(I think).

does any have some footage of any of his goals??
On Daicos Magic it show's a few of his goals, though most are from the 1990 season.

One I liked (only because of the commentator) was against Fitzroy "Oh! Mighty tordepdo, GOAL!" The one against the Eagles was my favourite.

His best is v Geelong 1981 PF at Waverley.

He marked in the last quarter on the far side HFF and we were kicking to the right of screen.

Ian Nankervis was on his mark.

He was about 5 metres in fromt he boundary about 60m out.

He caem in to kick but instead handballed it past Nankervis, ran past him collected it and coolly slotted it through from 45 metres to put the Pies in front in a game we won by 7 points.

He classifies that as his best ever.

Yes, but Daicos was the pioneer. How many players were kicking them when Daicos was? He was the master and the modern day players his pupils in a way.

I was sitting right in that pocket on the second tier at Waverly and it was indisputably the best I had/have ever seen given who assisted in the goal and the end result.

His two goals in the Granny were pearlers as well

His goal at the start of the round 2 1993 game (Daicos vs Ablett at VP) was fairly handy.
