Anyone heard Damien Leith's new album Remember June. It is simply amazing. Here is a link to the songs. I really like Golden Line, Forgive, Forget and See you Again. The rest are great as well. What do you guys think?

Personally he is one of my favourite artists. I think the Idol stigma goes with him but this album has won critical reviews.

yeah we all know he sucks. but to more important matters, he is a dead ringer for New Zealand cricketer Mark Gillespie:

they're both equally as inept at their trade as well, uncanny.

He has had a few number 1's albums alrady. How about actually clicking on the link and listening and then commenting? I trust you may be pleasently suprised. Then again, I guess many people have very different tastes, mine quite outside the norm.

Oh shit, I've changed my opinion on him now that I know he has had a few number one albums, as that's what truly matters when measuring a band's worth tbh.

Well I was going to answer in the same flippant way as the others as I hate everything to do with Idol, but I did listen to four of the tracks and I have to say I'd put him a few notches above the cr*p that is played on commercial radio. It was actually rather pleasant music. Considering I mainly listen to electronica, prog rock, indie and electronica, that takes a bit of saying from me.

I wouldn't buy it, but I give him credit for not churning out another album of covers, but making some original music.

I don't have a problem with Damian Leith - He's the sort of middling, semi-talented singer-songwriter that you could see earning a living in the local music scene without ever making an impact.

Somehow, he managed to turn that into winning Australian Idol, but that doesn't make him dog shit - It just means that he's got a lot more exposure than someone of his talent and style would ordinarily get.

Lisa Mitchell was on Idol and I really like her album.

That said, the show is the devil and everyone who watches it is a moron.

The reason I like him is because he is different. The music and voice is better then a lot of the stuff you here on radio. Golden Line, Forgive and forget + see you again (uplifting song) are brilliant. I hope this album is a success.
