Why is Damien Martyn always 12th man? In my opinion he is far better than Slater. Everytime Martyn is given a chance to bat he comes up with the goods yet never gets selected in the first team. Is the ACB board trying to send out a message telling aussie cricketers "don't bother trying, you can not break into the squad"?
Slater is also quite inconsistent. He's the kind of player that either hits a ton or single figures. And after a bad tour in India, his behaviour towards the umpire and indian batsmen he should of been dropped and Martyn given a chance to play.
Anyone got a logical theory as to why he is always 12th man?
ohh, and this could also apply to Lehmann and Langer.
