Swan has the awards and runs on the board while Dangerfield is one of the most exciting talents we've seen in years and is ready to explode. Going into 2013 who would you prefer in your side?

Swan. I rate Danger very highly though.

This is probably the last year I'd pick Swan. After that Dangerfield will surpass him.

This sums it up. Swan will just ever so slightly start to drop off and while still a gun he has already played his best football. Danger on the other hand is about to hit his peak over the next few years. I'd say Swan for this year and Danger from then on out.

Chose Swan - has the runs on the board and is still (playing wise) a bit ahead of Dangerfield IMO.

Dangerfield the much more likable person and player though and would prefer him at the Tiges if given a choice.

What differance does it make if hes likeable or not?

Well given the OP asked who you would prefer in your side maybe. I would say that Dangerfield is probably more likely to be well received by team mates (if he was a new recruit) than perhaps Swan would be given the general perception of him held by most people; so if I was considering who I'd prefer to have in yellow and black, they are some of the things I would take into consideration.

Dangerfield easily!

Swan's obviously been the better player but Dangerfield is a top 5 midfielder at the moment.

For 2013 alone.... Swan. But I think that this will be Swan's last year in the very top bracket, so probably Dangerfield in 2014.

Dangerfield can be stopped, Swan is nearly impossible to stop.
but in saying that I would only take those below ahead of him
Ablett
Swan
Watson
Pendles
Kennedy
with those below a flip of a coin
Selwood / Murphy / Cotchin / Dangerfield

Swan has offered more over his career (and probably will be the better of the two over their careers) but the way the question is framed and the age gap gives the decisive advantage to Dangerfield.

Not so sure about that. Dangerfield is on track to be every bit as good as Swan assuming he keeps progressing as he has been.
