Burton is as much a flanker as he is a KPP, IMO he plays his best footy when allowed to float around and do his own thing, running his defender into the ground, not when he has to play as more of a structural piece of a CHF/FF type. 3 talls is by no means too many, for much of the year we were operating with Tippett, Stevens and Walker as our talls and when Walker dropped out, Burton came in, its only since Bock has dropped out that we've gone shorter. At the start of the year we even had Stevens, Hentschel, Walker, with Tippett spending significant amount of time forward as well, so a forward line of Tippett, Hentschel and Burton is by no means too tall, it becomes interesting when/if Bock comes back.

Haha that could have been me.Who was it in here that said Craig wouldn't give Dangerfield another game this season?![]()
But it was before knowing Shirley was a definite out, once I heard that, I knew he'd come back in. Also can't understand why the club site is saying Porpy is in doubt, didn't Craigy and the assistants say there was no need to worry, he'll train Friday? And besides Burton is hardly a tall. He can play taller than he is but c'mon people he is NOT a KPP. Never has been and never will be. He is a medium forward who takes a great mark.I don't get this thinking at all. All three of those "talls" are very mobile. Plus when Craig has had a full complement to select from, his preference for our forward line is to have three talls on the field, at the same time. Two in deep and one roaming at centre half forward and beyond.

No suprise there.JR stated porps was in no doubt, said something like "Ah no, he will play"
West AdelaidePersonally think we are too tall with Burton Hentschell and Tippett however with Porps in doubt could be the reason? Douglas unlucky but may get a reprieve if Porps doesn't come up.
......not in a million years .......we've played 3 taller players than these in games regularly b4.
West AdelaideWe're Bock and Moran away from our best side. (excluding unknowns such as SMACK).
Sellar would come out for Bobby, but who else.... hmmm
Solid team, it's shaping up nice.
Get the voices out those who are going!
Those who aren't yell at the crap commentary. Although Parkin makes his debut and he's a ton better than the usual fodder.
I agree!......not in a million years .......we've played 3 taller players than these in games regularly b4.
Burtons a 6 footer so he hardly qualifies as a tall ........and it has been proven over & over again in finals that talls win you games.
Frankly I think that forwrd line named is absolutely awsome and presents HUGE matchup problems for any club in the finals.
Does Hentschell/Porplyzia get the 3rd & 4th best tall
That means Knights gets the 5th best tall .......well I'll be happy with that result![]()
I agree!
As I said, I don't think there is a backline in the AFL that can match up on that forward line provided they get some decent amount of supply!

Look Moran is gone for this year ........despite the "legend" status that's developed since he got injured ......he's not that good and a long way away from where people think he is.
Yes Morans made significant improvements this year .......but he's not been any better as a ruckman than Maric or Sellar ........but yes he's been the most valuable around the ground.
He still needs to improve his intensity ......and importantly I'd like to see one pack mark taken .....haven't seen one yet
I agree!

) you could create the bomb it in and hope mentality rather than a focussed approach. I'm happy to be proved wrong!

This is the opposite revisionism. As RuckWatch proved, his ruckwork was actually very good.
And his intensity was fine.

Burton isn't that tall, folks. He adds mobility in the forward line and marking. And ofcourse brainfades.

I still think that Craig wont bring Dangerfield back this year unless there is heaps of injuries.
