Yeah roundabouts in Australia are nothing compared to some of the nightmares in Britain.

For horrible intersections I would like to nominate Montague Street/West Gate offramps/Lorimer Street.

The update to the west gate freeway, bolte bridge citylink exit.
Dont know where the hell im going.
So many times going outbound from the city i want to go onto the bolte and i end up going over the westgate getting off at willi rd coming back over the westage and jumping onto the bolte.
vic roads can go suck it

I like it much better now. You just have to follow the signs and pick your lane as early as you can (you get stuck with your choice about 1km out).

It's much safer now since you don't have people cutting across 4 lanes once they realise they are in the wrong lane (everyone is now heading in the same direction).

The 'roundabout of deaths' traffic lights are good during the day but they kind of fail in evening peak hour. A lot of drivers throw the 'not going into an intersection unless you can get to the other side' rule out the window when it comes to this roundabout. This is very evident when drivers coming from Peel St. to Royal Parade clog up the roundabout so the traffic coming from Flemington Rd can't get around to Elizibeth St.

People should just learn that its stupid to go on an ambur light in this roundabout but try telling that to the marjority of the incompetent drivers out there.

learn to read the signs?

I don't do much driving, but the most confusing I've encountered was on Main Rd @ St Albans train station. The train line runs across Main Rd, and there are two Esplanade roads that also run across Main Rd (one on each side of the train line.) There is a set of traffic lights at both of the Esplanade/Main intersections, and another set of traffic lights right in the middle where the train tracks cross Main Rd.

teaching melbournians how to commit to a lane a kilometer early is not gonna happen overnight.
Since were famous for the complete opposite.

I drive along King Ways of an evening during peak hour heading into the city and i'm sick of the people who drive in the far right hand lane (the fast lane) and then try to to get to the far left within 100m of the citylink on-ramp. I've got to the stage where I tail gate the person infront of me to stop these people merging to the left so they are forced to go into the city or the eastern suburbs.

Get to the far left back at Queens Road and line up like everyone else!!

Why on earth would you take Kings Way. Such a shocking, shocking road.

It's the only road I've ever been on that is always ****ed. Be it peak hour. or 4 in the morning driving to the airport, always ****ed.

You should really look into using Clarendon St/Spencer St, or Moray St/Queensbridge/William St.

Saves so much time. Even Queens road which used to be pretty decent a few years ago has turned into a carpark nowadays.

Hell if they could get us to commit to a lane for 100m it would be a start

Id love to be a fly on a wall when the big decisions go down at VicRoads headquarters.

Dont get me started.

I've seen motorists commit to the right lane on our freeways for miles upon miles
