Looks to me to be out of his depth, what did people think of his game tonight?

I don't know if he'll ever be a player, just too slow with his decision making and looks out of his league in the AFL.

Am I being too harsh?

He is pretty quick (recorded 2.92 I think for the 20m sprint which is very good), but I admit I panic every time I see him with the ball.

Needs a lot of improvement if he's to make the grade.

May be able to run quickly, but i do think he's a bit slow in his decision making...seems to get caught with the ball a lot. Doesn't see his tackler coming much...could be a lack of peripheral vision.

might be a little slow on his decisions but thatll improve with game time. as for his actual speed i dont tihnk so. i was ********ed when he over the ball and the bulldgos player infront of the melbourne members but he gained 15metres on the guy and ran him down which resulted in a clearance for us and perhaps a goal. i think he'll be a good palyer.

Hes quicker than Nathan Brown, and Brown usually gets the ball moving quickly enough. As long as Bell improves his decision making at times, we should be alrite.

Looks OK. I'd eventually like to see him move into the midfield with that very strong body of his. Hopefully he'll fix these issues in time and will become a good player for us.

He will be a gun. Quick, strong, hard at it and has decent skills. His decision making is a little shaky ATM but will certainly get better with experience.

Yeah, I think it was just one of those days. I saw him play arguably his best game ever against Adelaide and he was breaking through tackles with ease and hitting a player with nearly every kick. He'll turn out to be a good solid player.

He's not too slow Brad, he just makes poor decisions too often. Remember, he's still only very young. It's an attribute that can be worked on over time, and with more experience at AFL level.

However, I agree that he's looked out of his depth a bit this season. I'm not worried about that, as players like Miller looked out of their depth in 2003, and they have come good.

Needs a bit more time and experience, and he'll be alright.

his foot speed is quite good but yes he is too slow in making decisions and often when he does make a decision, it is the wrong one.

unless he becomes a permanent starter next year with the likes of Brown and Bizzell fading out (as much as i hate to say that), i doubt he ever will

He has a long way to go to earn a spot in our best 18 IMO.

Next year's a big one for him, he must show some improvement.

???

At least he has a go which is more than some. I can remember when Brad Miller first played and Demon fans on Demon radio reckoned he wouldn't get a game in any other side. Now he is one of our brightest players.

Easy to make observations from the boundary, that is why the club employs people who can look further into the future.

Well excuse us for making observations. Bell has basically done Sweet FA in the seniors. Yeah, so he has a go, but where has it gotten him? He was pretty crap last week and lucky to keep his spot.

I've said that, in time, he will be good for us, but BT is spot on. He's been with us long enough, he needs to show some real improvement. It was Miller's first season in 2003 - this is, what, Bell's 3rd? Miller was a tall, they take time. Bell isn't.
