Not what we need IMHO. Bradshaw's best work is done close to goal. Given the state of Tredrea's knees, his best work will be done near goals from now on....

Gees, I wouldn't be putting him in a coffin just yet...
He 28 (29 in December) - still in his prime for a big man IMHO

Lets see how he comes up before we consign him to a wheelchair ;)

I don't think it has to do with age at all.

There are valid concerns over Warren's ability to recover from his knee problems - he was on crutches for a long time after his latest surgery and there is all that talk now about bone on bone in his knee.

Let's hope he returns to his former self, but we have been bitten a few too many times by past experiences to get too optimistic.

It's hardly consigning him to a wheelchair, it's a realistic assessment of a 100+kg KPP closing on 30 who's had half a dozen knee ops. The less hard running, twisting and turning he has to do, the better. As an 80+ goal Alistair Lynch type his contribution can still be immense.

I reakon this was half his problem this year...
This year was his first playing at over 100Kgs.
From memory I think he put on 5-10kg in the off-season...

No.

They would be ok if people then said what they thought we would be giving up. Trades are, obviously, always relative.

Bradshaw for Pick 5? No
for pick 20 odd? Maybe
for White? Sure.

Would Brisbane accept any of the deals we would be willing to offer? I doubt it.
The problem with this entire thread is that the main reason stated is that he wants to move back to Victoria. Can't see how going to Port Adelaide would fix that anyway.

do you think other clubs should just give you good players?
*sigh*

Did you read the rest of that post?

Bradshaw wouldn't cost much south of pick 5.
Yeah, I would have said pick 10-20 or thereabouts. Hence why I dont think a Bradshaw trade would happen.

WOuld Bradshaw have more trade value than Aker?
Well he'd have a season or two more than Akermanis left in him. Neither are worth recruiting from Port's point of view but if you were topping up for a flag in the next season or two you'd consider them. Be interesting to see what Brisbane get from the Bulldogs for Acker. Bradshaw would give your club less grief. I'd take him first if I was in the Bulldogs shoes.

Personally I would say they would be about the same. Bradshaw has more left in him and would play in a key position, but he isn’t a superstar. Aker is a superstar but would only provide 1 maybe two more years of good footy.

Depends on which team they would be going to I suppose. WC would probably rate Bradshaw as more valuable, Essendon would rate Aker as more valuable. Horses for courses.
