I saw another member bring up the possibility of trading for him. He seemed to be shot down, but is it really that badder option?

He is only 27 and given enough service is capable of kicking 5 plus goalS consistantly.

Thoughts?
 
Bradshaw would seem to have oher ideas apparently.

Another Lion walking away, theres only 1 common factor in this player exodus it seems.
 
He's a good player. Some might say we should promote youth, but the premiership window is closing pretty quickly for us. Securing Bradshaw would certainly improve our forward line, adding some class and marking ability.

But yeah, it's probably unlikely we'll see him make his way over here.

Well that would be interesting, I rate Bradshaw and would be glad to have him, especially in Trentschel's absence.
 
sorry guys hate to rain on your parade here but Bradshaw is going nowhere. Hadn't siged as yet as he was away on vacation and the paper stuff was merely a plant by his manager to perhaps push his price up.

Glad that he is thought so highly of elsewhere though :D

Any news on Doc Clarke yet? is he retiring? Was one of my favourite Lions.

Lady - surely you knew who rated Bradshaw was already ? however I do agree the man is going know where

Perhaps we could loan J Brown for a couple of seasons ?

as for doc - no news yet depends on the biglands side issue I would think
 
Bradshaw for Jericho - otherwise we're not interested......Craigy won't do a deal on a soon to be 28 year old.

No news yet on Clarkey Lady Lawrence - but he has his player review interview with Craigy tommorrow

Personally i would trade Bradshaw for McGregor.

Both players have been effective defenders (with McGregor at his best prob better than Bradshaw here) and both have been strong forwards capable of kicking multiple goals (with Bradshaw much better than Kenny up forward, though Kenny has had some great games up front prior to 06).

Yes, Bradshaw is a couple years older but Kenny seems to have an 'old body' for his age, if that makes sense.

I am not sure if Mal Michael is playing on, but with Leppitsch gone and Michael not far behind, McGregor a good options for Lions down back whereas we need a strong, mobile forward deep in attack...Bradshaw.

If the trade is lopsided either way, sweeten it with a 3rd round draft pick.

I like that Trade, McGregors body looks nearly shot. We would need to sweeten with a 3rd Rounder correct.

However it does seem like Bradshaw wants to go to Victoria, but this is a perfect opportunity for him to come to Adelaide and play in a side that could very well challenge for the flag next year.
 
Why not ? I know he doesnt like trading, but to win a Premiership its clear that you have to trade most of the time. For Us Bradshaw would be perfect, especially in Rowdys absence. We need a Bradshaw type player, hes strong, takes a good contested mark and most importantly Kicks Goals.

So suddenly Bradshaw is only 27 but you have Doughty just about rolled off into a retirement home and he is 28:rolleyes:
 
Yes It does sound contridictory, but we do need a forward to take the game by the scruff of the neck up forward.

I do not want Doughty to be traded or de-listed or anything like that, however I dont think he's in our future midfield plansand we need people to cover the imminent loss of the champions in there.

With Bradshaw, he is sort of filling in for Rowdy for the time being.
