Fall Out Boy

.....come on down.

Apparently Mr. Foster is going to get his first opportunity for the year (along with Jimmy Bartel), playing across half forward.

Hopefully Danny takes this chance because up til now, he's suffered from Ben Graham syndrome, plenty of talent but a lack of self belief.

With Foster coming in, i'd expect either (or both) Gardiner or Johnson to get the arse.

I can't see Foster playing in a key position.

Geelong's own Anthony Mithen claimed that Foster will play in a forward pocket.

I hope he's got some dud info because for Foster to be successful, he needs to play a position where he can use his pace to his advantage.

From reports Fossie has been doing very well across half-forward in the VFL. Whether he can transfer that form into the seniors is unknown, but he should be at least given a go, he couldn't do any worse than Riccardi's efforts this season.

I'm venturing down to the beach suburb of Sandringham tomorrow afternoon, I'll pass on how Foster, Spriggs, Street, McCarthy and co play :)

I'm particularly interested in Henry Playfair. Haven't heard too much of him this year, does anyone think he'll make a senior debut in 2003? I guess I'll be able to answer my own question tomorrow arvo'

Henry made the best players list.

GIVE HENRY A GO.

It would be an ideal opportunity to give Henry Playfair a game this week if Cameron Mooney's ankle injury doesn't come up in time.

Regardless of whether it 'come's up', Gumby shouldn't be playing.

His form isn't great and it's the second time in a month he's hurt his ankle.

Give him a few weeks rest to get the ankle perfectly right, then bring him back.

Foster was very disappointing today...

I think it's good bye Daniel come November.

If we were serious about rebuilding into a team capable of winning a flag he along with a few others should have been out the door at the end of last season. We have a "what if..." attitude to developing players. In economics terms they are sunk costs, no use throwing away more money and wasting a spot on the list. Now, just wait for Foster to play a blinder this weekend.

yeah, we certainly shouldn't be going into a game with kingsley, and a questionable mooney as our only tall forwards. I'd much rather see a mccarthy or even playfair instead of an unfit mooney.

Yep I agree. Mooney is no good injured. Give him a rest against the Saints, and the dodgy Tesltra Dome surface. The week's break will do the world of good, and get him fresh for the Lions at Skilled.

McCarthy was almost non-existent in the VFL on Sunday. Playfair did well, and should be first in line.

Go Cats!! :)
