Needs to become our permanent small forward when he eventually gets back on the field. The guy is very smart footballer and would have a birthday up forward crumbing to our talls. Time to leave the midfield to the young guys, his body is shot, maybe give him 10 mins here and there in the guts.

No need to keep killing him each week. But of course knowing Woosha this would require making a change to his structure, so not likely to happen.

Mmmm, I believe you as your avatar has such a luxurious and trust-worthy mo ;)

Not a bad idea...Masten was good yesterday and needs to spend more time in the mid and less time across half forward. Swapping Masten and Kerr, with Kerr getting the occasional run through the middle, could extend his playing career.

We have too many pure midfielders in the team and not enough mids that can go forward and kick goals, Kerr isn't the answer, drafting a dual position mid/forward is a start

But we don't need Kerr in the middle any more, i'm sure he could master the crumbing role quite easily.

It's a short term solution but something to consider for the rest of the season.

We're getting to the point where depth players like Hutchings are going to offer as much as Kerr in the guts despite their limitations and Kerr's fitness is a liability.

However his seniority is useful and he knows how to crumb, so perhaps playing him as a small forward will allow him to get the most out of this season.

What about as a sub? Or why not both?

Chuck him in a pocket. May aswel develop hutchy and these kinds of blokes. Kerr will admit his body is almost shot.

He's never been a massive goal kicker, I'm not sure he would be dangerous enough to justify that spot. His best position is in the middle.

Think it's a great idea. Woosha really needs to start trying new tactics. Kerrs speed and footy smarts will be utilized in the forward line...give his body a break...apply some defensive pressure and give our future mids more time in the guts.

Kerr is a gun when fit that is why he still gets tagged he has at least another year if managed well ! He also takes the tag away from shuey and gaff when he is playing ! Don't think we should put him in the fwd pocket just because he is small . He probably doesn't even want to play in the pocket he looks happiest getting picked up from the bottom of a pack after getting smashed !

Oh by all means do it as a short term measure this year, but I don't think Kerr playing next year in a forward pocket is worth consideration.

Agree with this. Back in the day when he was fast and could break lines, sure a forward pocket would have been fine.

But nowadays, i think he's too slow for that position. My all time favorite player, but i can't see him having much of an impact anywhere besides the mid. And even his mid impact is starting to decline.

One more year for Kerr IMO, manage his games next season and use him to mentor the new eagles in the mid.
