Daniel Kerr?

I know trade week is ages away and it has been brought up a few time, but the more this guy gets tagged like he did last night and the more undisciplined things he does, it just makes me think he's not enjoying his footy and would love to play second fiddle to judd again.....i thought the tactics were illegal last night and he's clearly getting p.issed off judging by his act on west........im a realist when it comes to this stuff, and i sure didnt think judd would come to the blues, but i have a feeling kerr will want to come to the blues to play with his best mate......not sure if we need him, but his class and foot skills would be handy thats 4 sure.....thoughts?

If he wants to come to carlton , thats fine but we dont need him ! we need a chf and some depth in our backline ! as we see we missed bannister and t-bird the most yesterday. We were forced to play gibbs in the backline clearly not a defender by yesterdays effort.

Having said that , you can never have enough game breaking quality mids in your team.

we will have a gun midfield in a year or so, as good as Kerr is, we would have to give too much to get him. We need key position players, especially defenders.

You will have to pay too much for him, what draft picks and players could you realistically give up without stunting the future of your club while fairly compensating Westcoast. It will be to your detriment IMO as you need some quality backman and a CHF (now that Kennedy is starring at WC!)

Interestingly we took Simon Wiggins at 15 in the 2000 National Draft. Kerr went 18.

I agree in some ways. You have to keep bringing in quality young players on a consistent basis, and I don't see how that happens if we get Kerr.

Last year, we got away with it to some degree because of the priority pick - meant we effectively only gave away a second-round pick (compared to the 'average' draft levels) and a young player, which was well and truly worth it. We'd probably have to give up a similar amount to get Kerr - probably first and second round picks at a minimum.

That said, you would have to do it wouldn't you? I mean, he's a genuine A-rated midfielder who is just entering his prime. If we had the chance, you would have ot do it.
