Yes he has secretly signed a 5 year contract with the Hawks who were impressed with the game they saw him play in round 13 2006 were a lightning quick Meyer got 3 kicks 2 handballs and made 2 tackles from 4 quarters of football. Sorry Danny if you read this sight I hope you have a great year for us in 2008 and put us all to shame. We know you've got the ability.
 
I bloody hope not.

This year he played with injuries and for a skinny finisher you can't expect wonders so young.

Players with this much skill are required at our club, let's hope the Hawk supporters have a misunderstanding.
 
somehow I doubt it, Meyer should get another season

He is a Wallace prototype player, can't see him being punted at this stage

Danny Meyer has not been delisted has only had one weekend off home to Adelaide this off season trained throughout weighs 80kg and is injury free. A required player at RFC but has other options.Not homesick.
 
After showing absolutely donuts he asks to be traded. Well we should let him go even if we get nothing for him. You can't polish a ****
 
An injury interupted season last year and tiger supporters are on the hunt. very unfair but very richmond all the same.

He will make it eventually when he gets his body right. I think his mind is fine just understandably fraustrated with his injury problems.

Sadly i think he'll do it Hawthorn colours :mad:

how dare richmond supporters expect a first round pick to actually show something in his 3 years at the club:rolleyes:

i reckon he will stay and hope he does but dont make excuses for his piss poor output and make it a "richmond only thing"

if he was a pick 60 like peterson he would of been gone last year but is living on his draft selection and he'll have one more year to prove himself

Very glad to hear he's not homesick, also it sounds like after another pre season he'll be at a good weight too.

So did he train himself all off-season except for the one weekend? If so that is a great work ethic.

Maybe he is try to impress another club...hope not

Hopefully, Terry had a sharp word to him, saying shape up and get your attitude together or **** off.

Hes had 3 years, player maybe 2 good games, very lucky to stay on the list.

Hawthorn, need to delist at least one other player in order to pick him up

IMO he really only has one year to prove himself, otherwise he can F-off. In the three years he's played senior football he hasnt really proven himself and is lucky to still be on the list.
 
Can people stop telling him to f-off?!

He's done more than Pettifer in his first 3 years and Petts turned out to be a good player.

I think this may be the end of him at the Richmond Football Club.

I dont think it was the clubs decision because if it was he probably would have left before the first list lodgement. From what i am hearing Danny has been offered a position at another club.

The rumours may not be true, but where there’s smoke there is usually fire.

Yeah it be Hawthorn because Richmond and Hawthorn have been in talks of trading Danny Meyer but that was during the first trade week. So yeah, I think he's best headed to the Hawks.

those rumours have been around for a while, but danny should stay, he has been told he is a required player, but then again he may leave

Jackson, who told you he has been told he is a required player?


For now if he leaves he can only enter the PSD or the Rookie draft. If he does indeed go to Hawthorn they will have to delist another player after the draft to pick him up.

You gotta be sh*tting me... Damn if I was RIchmond I'd give him one and tell him its now or never, he has along way to go before becoming a major player and whos to say he ever will.

i just know someone, basically all i was told was that he was told he is required but if he isnt commited they wont stop him leaving
 
There HAS to be better options out there than this player.
He has been worthless for 3 years and has so many fundamental floors that I don't see any improvement forthcoming.
Good luck to him if someone else is prepared to waste their time.

Will be delisted from wherever at the end of '08 if not sooner.
