DD, I get it. Not completely sold on it, but clever.

I'm pretty sure we can all agree that Davey's impact last year wasn't the greatest, and while his injury may have had something to do with his output on the field, Aaron Davey in full flight is one of the most exciting prospects of 2008. I read an article last year comparing Davey to Daniel Wells which showed little to no difference between the two in terms of possesions and other random stats that people seem to pull from their ass.

We know he can play, I just feel as though last year it looked as though his enthusiasm for AFL level football had gone. A quick glance between Aaron and Alwyn and you could tell who was enjoying themselves more. Get him back to enjoying the game and we'll find the great player in davey we all know he can be.

He definately got frustrated last year, some media critcism and extra attention from taggers when he was on the ball along with the fact that the side could not win a game, and yea he got angry. His suspension for striking was just silly but you could see it coming.

I like Davey in the forward line, i beleive it really is the place he does his best as he is great around goal and his pace as a chasing forward puts great defensive pressure on his opponent..

His skills are first class, and when on the attack in the midfield he was very damaging.

However i feel in the midfield his defensive pressure wasn't the same standard. as a midfield player you have to play your opponent a lot closer, its a clearance game and he does like to sit off his opponent.. As a forward that isn't so much a problem as any defender running off him will get hurt badly on the scoreboard from turnovers, but midfield its a worry.

So forward line for me, And the bulk works well there too..breakneck speed crashing a pack..snaps over the shoulder...GOAAAAAAALLLLLL.

I just watched some old highlights - it was only then that I realised just how much more strength he's put on in the upper body.
Should make it a lot easier to deal with tagger effectively and to take out his frustrations in play rather than getting snarky and giving away silly free kicks.
Being tackled by Davey - now even scarier.
