David Haynes

Is David Haynes serious about playing at this level?

He seems overweight and disinterested. I know he performed quite well at WAFL level last year. But he doesnt make contests and doesnt run to assist team mates.

In an earlier thread someone mentioned he had spat the dummy about not playing for the Royals this year. Well he better buck up his ideas quick. I predict a cleanout at the end of this year as we gain momentum to move up the ladder. This is the time for players to step up.

Did anyone else notice his performance on the weekend?

He didnt have the best of games but i dont think he is overweight or anything like that. The kid will be very good but didnt get enough time on the ground to really make an impact. I expect him back into the side before to long. He should be dropped though against Melbourne for Green, Hummer or Milli if he is fit.

I rated him very highly before the start of the year, and I must admit that he has been a touch disappointing so far.

I'm not sure about him being overweight. He doesn't look it.
I wouldn't have a clue if he has a bad attitude, so I can't really comment on that.

And like Jod said, he didn't spend a lot of time on the ground, so he couldn't really have an impact on the match.

He has all the attributes (pace, strong hands and a booming kick) to become a good footballer, so hopefully he can improve as the season grows.

He has plenty of ability, it just seems that maybe his attitude this year isn't quite right. To be fair, on Sunday he didn't get too much game time but he still didn't look too flash. Maybe a couple of games in the WAFL is needed. Nonetheless, I would prefer to have him in the side than Merenda.

I am a big fan of his, but so far this season i have been disapointed with his attitude and performance, but am sure he will get over any probs he has and start playing well soon

I don't have much time so thats all i will say....for now. I HOPE to be back online asap

He's shown promise in the past couple of seasons, but until he strings together a couple of solid games, his position on the Eagles list is always going to come under scrutiny
