With the rapid improvement of Mark Jamar, surely some credit should be given to your ruck coach?

In his second year, the benefits of what he is doing is now being seen.

Well it sounds like you know more about him than I do.

I will say Jamar has been pretty good since the second half of 08 and I think if we didn't have an interest in losing games would have played a lot more last year. That said Spencer is actually getting better and better at hit outs, he's got that height to get up over the top and palm it forward. I'd be interested to see what he can make of all the other ruckmen this year. There is a lot of improvement needed - as demonstrated by the fact we are only playing 1 ruckman at the current time.

There is a 1000 word article in todays paper about ruckwork and Jamar's improvement and they didn't even give him a mention.

i played cricket against Loats. He is better at cricket than he was football.

youre right he must be doing something right with Jamar, although it could also be argued that he has royally underperformed with John Meeson and Paul Johsnon..

Yeh Meeson has obviously been out injured for a heap of time - but I would still argue that he hasnt looked great the times he's been playing.

He's done alot of work with Stef Martin and he's struggling imo too.

Considering Newton is our current backup ruckman..
