Just wanted to say good luck to him in his first proper afl game this season and best of luck for the rest of the year.Just hope he doesnt play to well tommorow against my boys.

Yeah good luck to spriggsy, he can have the best year ever as long as he has 2 bad games, they being round 1 and round 16. .Nah but seriously good luck to him and the rest of the young guns that you have.

David Spriggs got through his first official game back from injury which was one of very few positives for Geelong today.

I wanted to bring the topic of "David Spriggs" back up to ask what everyone else thinks with regard to how he is going at the moment??

I have been watching him over the last couple of weeks and he's starting to show signs of regaining his confidence in the seniors. He hasn't been given much gametime, but when he has been on the ground, he's made an impact. He still needs to work on his disposal and balance when under pressure, but I am glad to see him back in the side, throwing himself around like he used to do before he did his knee.

Thoughts??

Yeah a long way to go with his disposal but it was never that flash. His tackling and chasing are as good as ever though and he's one of our best in that regard. Would like to see him given a bit more ground time.

I'd like to see him actually start a game in the centre,not on the bench.

Jubs, he spent the majority of the game on the ground last week.

He played nearly the entire first half for ONE possession before doing well in the second half.

If James Bartel had one touch in a half, do you think he'd get another opportunity in the second half? Not bloody likely.

When talking game time, Spriggs is the last person that has a right to complain.

So many times we've seen players never return to their best after knee recos.

You would reckon Spriggs would be back to his best by round 10 considering he had a pre-season, but obviously he isn't.

I thought Spriggs was one of our best yesterday. It was certainly heartening to see him do some nice things anyway.

It would've been great had Spriggs nailed that goal on the run just before halftime.

Spriggs was fairly good yesterday, 12 possessions, 3 marks and 5 tackles... probably his best game so far this season.
