Haha! He settled for about half he could have got elsewhere. his free-flowing tears at the end of the GF signified his commitment to the club. He played very ordinary football in the latter half of the year. I'd back him in to play good football next year.

I guess it is easier to knock back money when you are destined to be a lawyer, too!

I don't know about that MMD I've done a fair amount of secure document deliveries for legal practices and clearly some of them would sell their own mothers to white slavers for the price of train ticket if it suited them.

Im sure he will be looked after Collingwood once his career is over. Players need to understand go where the money is and you will play your years as a nobody and be left with nothing. Players who have retired from Collingwood recently have been EXTREMELY well looked after or gotten jobs elsewhere after playing at the biggest club in australia...

Im sure players like Dale thomas will work with collingwood and be paid well a long time after there playing days. Im sure this is part of the reason they stayed with us
