Losing an hour on one weekend a year sucks big time but getting an extra hour of daylight in the evening is the best.

The positives on DLS far outweigh the negatives.

I hated my old job when we started 7am on Sunday and you'd end up rostered on the Daylight Saving Sunday so you'd lose an hour's sleep, but then would not be rostered on for the corresponding end of Daylight Saving morning 6 months later....

Alternatively, I liked the years when the opposite happened :thumbsu:

Overall, Daylight Saving is awesome

Love having that extra hour of sunlight, makes a huge difference!

That hour or 2 after tea when you went back out and played more cricket with your mates as a kid :thumbsu:

On topic:Is there anyway we can change nature to make Summer less hot? I can handle low 30's. 31, 32, 33 at a stretch. But once you start hitting consistent 36, 37 and 40+ then I think you're just having a giggle there m8. Suggestions?

That takes me back. Good times. :)

This just brings a smile to my face.

As a kid me and my brother played this test match game all through the arvo. Basically counting each others runs with an endless amount of innings. Every dinner was always "lunch break" and after that we played until "bad light". We could never do it in winter.

**** I've missed you daylight savings, northern states (and WA) your missing out :thumbsu:

We had it for 3 years.
Not as mind blowingly fantastic as people are making out. Summer days are plenty long as is.

I feel the same way Balkan. I can't stand really hot weather. 25 to 30 is good.

out of curiosity do you have a 9-5 type job? being an office worker, having some daylight when you get home is amazing, the winter months can be pretty much dark when you leave the house, dark when you leave the office. Love daylight saving.
