i dont think any of us needed to hear about his troubles in the last few years.

hopefully last night was the last those issues are referred to ever again.

but isnt it ****ing brilliant to add yet another player the opposition simply cannot take their eyes off.

IMO as damaging as swan, and going past him.

i dont think any of us needed to hear about his troubles in the last few years.

We didn't need to hear about it. And nobody would have marked him down if he didn't mention it.

But it's worth considering that the hard times he went through would have led to the downfall of lesser men. He can be justifiably proud of the way he has turned it around.

I thought the way he talked about it showed great strength of character.

hopefully last night was the last those issues are referred to ever again.

It won't be the last time. The media are sure to bring it up again when he wins the Brownlow.

He has a really grounded head on his shoulders. A lot more mature than I admit I had ever given him credit for. Very proud in a way, watching these young blokes become men. He will wear black and white till his last game too, I reckon.

Next year he will be focused on like never before but I'm confident he will rise further. With Bally back, watch Beams become even more damaging.

Three cheers for our number 17 doing the jumper proud.

Floreat pica.

He is going to be player Dayne Beams if he is not already, great inside and as a finisher 2nd overall on our goal kicking list he is really strong now through the core and legs.
At 22 he will only get better and he signed for 3 more seasons at below market value I am sure quite a few clubs would have loved him on their books.

He is maturing rapidly "right in front of us" I thought it was a great sign when he bought a house and yes I think he and his family are right to be proud of him and yes you can definitely see leadership potential in him without a doubt.

It is great to see our Qld boys at the Pies and going well:thumbsu:.

The guy's definately gonna be a true champion. He's very humble and you can tell from his speech his genuine gratitude towards the CFC... can't wait to watch him evolve over his career.

Does anyone have a video of his speech I really would love to see it? What a fantastic player he has become. So happy he has come on the way he has. What a star and at the age of only 22. Wow!

I love him.

I dont think I have ever been as proud of a CFC player. Speech was genuine and brought a little tear to my eye at the end.

You can tell he loves being at the Pies, and is not taking anything for granted. We are very lucky to have him.

Future captaincy for sure!

Beams is a legend in the making and his speech was superb. Does anyone know what role Taz has got/will get within the club in future. I hope there will be one for him.
