I think he is the No. 1 form analyst going around amongst the horse racing pundits.

Just a clarification about him. I have heard on the radio, but never seen in the flesh. My mate says he is in a wheel chair. If true, IMHO he does a mighty job to get around to all the meetings and track work and give such an accurate assessment of each horses' mounting yard condition.

Can anyone confirm his physical condition please?

He's been in one for a very long time. I remember when I was working with horses he was in a chair then, that was close to 5 years ago.

One of the best judges going around.
 
Yeah he drives around in one of those buggy style electric wheelchairs. You'll always see him zooming around in it!

But I agree he is one of the better tipsters going around.

Very good judge and fortunately not an opinionated egotistical tipster like many in the media.

Suffers from Spina Bifida and appears confined to the wheelchair permanently now.
 
Always worth getting his selections early on Saturdays before filling in your tri's and quaddies.

Apparently a jockey or two value his opinion on race tactics.

When Spectacular Saint won at Flemington a couple of starts back, Currie, who rode it, said after the race he'd asked Lester in the morning whether he should go to the grandstand or up the inside because he wasn't sure what to do.

You might be thinking of someone else cause he's been in a chair/motorised buggy for a long time. I think someone said spina bifida and I think thats it. He's a form freak! Sensational memory and is as dedicated as they come. Picked Schilling and Zipping on Sat. Has had as most of us an ordinary carnival though.

Deano is very good at pointing you towards the runners looking to win on the day. Shane templeton has been on fire much more angry than Deano but he was crowing about Aprapho miss at 10/1 on the preview show..

I have always liked Doc Turf but he game seems to be off, that morning show with KB didnt help him to be honest and he just seems to have run his race!!!

has anyone got any comments on Simon Marshall's performace on7 during the carnival, what the hell was he on:eek::eek:

I think he manages a few jockeys, Currie might be one of them.

Dr Turf is an entertainer, he's livened up TVN bit since he joined there. But his tipping is woeful of late. Terry Bailey is very astute, he just get his tips put up on TVN very often.

I agree, Turfy really livened it up, especially the preview show the night before. And his tipping has been off but he did have a couple of bucks on Sirmione when it won the MacKinnon at $88.

Simon is one of the best judges going around, he has more contacts in racing than any other tipster these days. Still rides fast work I think as well.
 
I have never looked at them but he has a tips section on the TOTE Tas website:

By the looks of it, it will only show a couple for each day so you would have to use the phone number to get his daily tips. As stated before, he does give his Saturday tips on 927 on Sat morning
