Does anyone here remember this player from the late 80's. Played 85, 86, 87. He kicked 5 goals against St Kilda once. I just want to know anyones memories of him, what type of player he was. He is a teacher at my school that is all. Thanks

;)Actually had a touch of class about him and was pretty highly skilled at a time when the Tigers lacked both class and skill!!!!
The five goal haul was the highlight of his time with the yellow and black, but was prone to injury!!!!

I reckon that is crap Calcium Man. I was a Friar as well and he absolutely hated talking about his footy career. Doing Legal Studies in year 11 and 12 I would always try to engage him in Tiger conversation but I got the feeling that he was not all that fond of what was happening at the club during his time. Did mention his under 19 premiership though as a huge highlight. He was the best teacher I had at the friars (and not just because he was a tiger player). Commanded alot of respect from everyone.

I'll never go bald. Thanks

i dunno dude - you have one massive forhead going there - you look like you have some serious "receding hairline" going on there

Maybe he just didnt like you :p

He has a tape of that game and he showed us a couple of times. Not during legal but once at lunch and one day we had a free so we went and saw him and he showed us. Showed it on Mt Carmel day once too.

Was bald at 21 ... LMAO ...

Madness will never go bald as long as he has "Grecian" ...

Soft outside flanker who was a beautiful kick but like so many who went before him and followed after .... simply could not get the pill

Yeah you're probably right! Still surprised me though.Maybe he has embraced his career more recently. Or you are older than me and he lost his passion for it after a few years at the friars!

Finished 04.

Could have been that we were in his office when ever we had a free ;)

Father Paul is still casting his 'watchful' eye over the school

Ever been in his office??? *Shudders* Creepy

Kiercey For Principal in 09 :D

Bring back Brother Daryl and Brother Leo. Now they were what being brothers and working at a catholic boys school were all about. Pity they both left during my time around 1996!

I was just going through the double J best live acts of the 90's and TISM were in there. So I thought I just google Dean Notting and see if he was really the base player. Now I find he played for Richmond as well. How good!

I finished in 97 and I don't think it was common knowledge that he played AFL. I saw him a few weeks back at the 20 year reunion and asked if he was still in TISM. He just said "Yeah" and moved the conversation on.
