when will he play???
next yr?? and where will he play??
if we pick up a ruck in the trade or draft will we have him ruck still or will we put him up forward???

did a knee late last year
wouldnt be suprised if this set him back 4-8 months
dont think we will see him next year

He'll be a Power Forward for us, He 'll be a Brad Ottens type. Big Forward/Ruck!

I think he'll play late next year if we look like missing the finals, but otherwise 2010 will be the year he gets game time.

I know he got the living suitcases kicked out of him by some local footballers down my way who jumped the fence mid game to belt him and got off to play G.F on appeal!

Pre-Draft vido of Putt:

nah it was only a 2 week injury

really i heard that he has had some signs of it not being right and it is likely to be a frustrating reoccuring injury
hope ur right
watched him a few weeks for the burgers 1s and 2s looks good
not slow off the mark for a big bloke

there wasnt a reco required , it was a couple of weeks shy of finals time, which pretty well put paid to the year...he'll be ok to resume pre season training

Putt could be a real weapon in the future.

Imagine a 203cm full forward that runs around like he's 195cm. He's a real smooth mover with a good kick.

i think Gourdis and hughes will be fighting it out for the ff spot in the next couple of years. get them playing in the preseason games together so they get use to playing along side each other and dont lead into the same space. our tall forwards would be. putt, riewoldt, hughes, gourdis.

Looking at that footage which, living in NSW is the first I've seen of this kid, it's clear he's not devoid of real talent, regardless of it only being U'18's. Seems to me like another reason why it is so vital have to get our player development and gameplans in order above everything else. We just can't afford to keep wasting these kids. Doesn't matter how good our recruiting is, if we don't get those things right , we'll never get anywhere. People need to realise ,that the Cotchin's and Deledio's (and some would argue Reiwoldt's) don't just fall from trees, club's have to put real work into most kids to optimise their returns, that's the real difference between success and failure and that's what the good clubs do. The likes of Putt, Rance and Collard need to be worked on as a matter of priority, not just left to languish in the VFL, only ever showing flashes of potential.

I'm mates with an assistant coach from Calder and he reckons Putty can run all day. Tests like Kruezer. Sub 3 seconds over 20m, runs all day, very good skills and lead Calder for contested marks and goals despite starting the season in the ruck. The Calder bloke is pretty adamant he is a forward.

I'm sure the club knows this and therefore we probably do need another ruck and not so in need of a key forward. Thanks for the highlight reel dave the man. looks like he's got a few strings to his bow.

Also reputed to have an excellent attitude.

And Mario I agree with you.

only that it happened at the riddell district prelim final and he was at the game "reported to be with his old man on the ink and mouthing off" until these two blokes who are incidently Riddells best players jumped the fence and went whack whack, got rubbed out for the GF and beyond, appealled, got off and played in a premiership 7 days later!
Definately true, but what lead to it I am not too sure.I heard he has a broken jaw,but that could be heresay.
